1980 Triumph TR7 in very nice shape. This is a very good driver, runs very well, good power and great riding/handling car. Great entry level into British sports cars. This car was originally white, however many years ago it received a paint job changing it to the current (slightly metallic) burgundy color. The color change was fairly thorough, which included the door jambs, engine bay and underside of the trunk lid and bonnet. Cars runs very strong with a 5 speed gearbox, the clutch works nice and smooth. Mechanically this car is ready to enjoy, everything works. The interior is in excellent shape. At the time of the repaint it received a fully new interior, with a nice tan vinyl that is in very nice shape. All the switches work as do the gauges and radio. Carpets are in great shape and it also has the AMCO style rubber TR floor mats. The body has virtually no rust. 2 spots to mention. The drivers floor shows a new patch had been welded in place at some point and the windshield frame (A-pillars) have some crusty paint spots (SEE PHOTOS). Otherwise the rockers and floors are rust free, and there are no indications of any previous body damage. The paint job looks great in the photos and from 10 feet away. Once examined more closely it does show itself to have been an inexpensive repaint that has aged OK, but certainly no show winner. This is a car to buy to enjoy and drive. The Robbins convertible top is brand spanking new, we just installed it. The car comes with the original convertible top boot cover as pictured. The tires are in good shape. Has new thermostat and coolant, spark plugs. The carbs needs a choke rebuild. Sold AS-IS, no warranty implied or given. On Mar-20-14 at 10:25:15 PDT, seller added the following information: EDIT: I would like to add that the car has a chrome luggage rack for the trunk lid. I removed the rack, and it is included in the auction. However, please note the trunk lid has 4 small holes in it for the mounting bolts of the rack.
