The AMX is a Survivor. It has a very interesting story. The original owner was K.I.A. in the Vietnam War. His father kept the car until 1984. At that time it only had 29,000 miles. It was sold to friends and they have owned it until I purchased it. Since 1984 there have only been 920 miles put on the car. I have a photo copy of the original title, and second owner. The car is now titled in my name. The AMX is untouched and un-altered. To get it running, the gas tank was cleaned and sealed, the carburetor was rebuilt, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor were installed. The car runs nice, but it still needs additional work. It will need a new exhaust and the fuel pump needs a gasket. Otherwise, it should be gone over like any vehicle that has been sitting. The body is very nice. Both fenders look great and no rust, both doors are great and no rust, there is no rust around the front or back glass, no rust in the trunk area. However there is some rust. Behind the back wheels on both sides you can see some minor rust. The area behind the drivers seat is soft and the back bumper is scaling. The trunk has foam from the floor mat stuck to it, so it doesn't show how clean it really is. When I look at the car, I like it the way it is. It took over 40 years to get this look!
