This Cranberry Red over Black 1970 Chevelle SS is a superb numbers-matching example that underwent a professional, frame-off restoration in the late 2000s. It is a very original Z25-code SS396 with only minor deviations from the original build sheet (on-file). It left the Kansas City factory in Cranberry Red over red in January 1970 with highly desirable features including a performance suspension, factory A/C, power steering and power brakes.The painstaking restoration yielded and incredible panel fit and a superb finish set off by SS sport stripes that builds a killer muscle car profile. The interior was changed from its original red to black vinyl, and retains the correct factory A/C, center console (with Hurst Shifter) and Strato bucket seats. The L34 396 (which was a 402 in actuality) has been rebuilt and is paired with the correct Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and 12-bolt Positraction rear end. A cowl induction hood with hood pins was added during the restoration, as well as AutoGage auxiliary gauges and a modern sound system.We have the original build sheet on file with this Chevelle and it will undergo a rigorous pre-sale inspection by the Muscle Car experts at the Park Place LTD Service Center.
