Vehicle Detail
ABS BRAKES-Necessary safety feature. Engaged twice for me, glad I had it. FACTORY NAVI-SYSTEM-Another critical safety feature for the cross-country cyclist. This Garmin GPS has been updated with firmware 4.60 which permits use of all the latest NT maps from Garmin. Map version NT2014.20 released August 2013 is on this GPS Unit, as you can see in the picture. Gives plenty of notification for upcoming turns. Don't leave home without it. The factory installed systems have a nice display and are much more natural to use. The only drawback was limited map updates on older units (prior to 2010 I think). The new firmware solves that problem. COMFORT PACKAGE-Heated grips and both heated seats work fabulously. Must have for cool climates. UTOPIA BACK REST-Rode for years without one. Shouldn't have. The combination of highway pegs, cruise control, and back rest tremendously reduces fatigue on long trips. TIRE PATCH KIT INCLUDED-I have a miniature 12V air compressor and tire patch kit stored in the CD Player area of the trunk that will stay with the motorcycle. This cycle does not have a CD Player. Tires have approx. 75% life remaining. A wonderful machine-built to tour. Hate to give it up but my wife is ready to quit touring after thousands and thousands of miles of great times. Can't complain. With the cruise, we routinely rode 500 miles/day on this motorcycle. I bought this bike used in 2010 from an elderly gentleman who became ill. I eventually rebuilt the forks and put in Progressive Springs, new bushings, seals and fork oil. I also changed the air filter. That was approx. 20,000 miles ago. The battery is an expensive gel-battery and practically new.
