1959 JAGUAR MARK IX – NO RESERVE Running, driving and almost beautiful. Fantastic paint job which was covered by last owner with acrylic wrap and is near perfect. All chrome has been replaced and pristine. No pitting. Only chrome issue is back left bumper over rider. Two additional over riders come with car. All rubber has been replaced and is pristine. Car is complete as you’ll find. All parts there (except for one rear interior deck air directional piece near rear window) Front door interior handles work, though missing small pieces, which are included with vehicle. Small pieces are included. Most of interior wood is fantastic. All refinished. All screws and cups replaced with NOS screws. Dashboard not professionally restored but refinished and is a 6 out of 10. All other wood refinished and 10 out of 10. Some restoration not professionally done, so this is NOT a show car, but it’s a real beautiful stunner. 800 miles on new tires. Emergency brake there, but doesn’t work Radio there but doesn’t work. (Haven’t tried hooking it up yet) Sunroof okay. The Interior doors and headliner have been re-done in white naugahyde (I think) Seats are original white leather and have expected cracks and stains. Two small (less than four inch splits) in front seat. Clock in back seat doesn’t work. Trays in back original. Even has lighter mid-car. The funkiest part of car is interior PNLDR indicator on dash. Have all original pieces that come with car, but present indicator is jerry rigged. Indicates what gear you’re in but kind of jinky. Works, but not close to original. Another funky part is the inside of the doors near the hinges which appear to be brush painted. The original color the car was black. They look great at four feet, but not show condition. Same is true of very bottom of rocker panels. Comes with Jaguar Heritage Production certificate from Jaguar in Coventry. All numbers match. No antennae on car. Vintage antennae come with car. Replaced steering box three years ago. Drives 65 on the Freeway. Smooth as butter. Smooth transmission. Good brakes. I’ve owned this car for three years and driven 800 miles and unfortunately couldn’t finish restoration for medical reasons. Car has been idle since July. Car does not come with battery. Parts catalog, wiring diagrams, original operating, maintenance and service handbook all included. Trunk clean, but not original. Extra tire straps included. California registered with plates through 5/14.Only left gas tank is functioning. Right tank out of car and needs to be restored.Passenger side rear door is stuck. It has worked...not doesn't.
