1988 BMW 750iL specifications & performance data review You are looking at a Beautiful Running - 1988 BMW 750il with a V12 Engine, this is a smooth riding vehicle. Has a top speed of 155mph. This vehicle retailed for over $100,000.00 in 1989! It's a beautiful car and runs just the same. The engine and transmission are solid. The 750il starts on the FIRST turn, every time. To start with, if your looking for a perfect car, a gas saver or a hot rod, this is not the car for you. If you want a high end BMW with all the bells and whistles and will require some work from the new owner; then this is the car for you. It can carry 5 adults comfortably. It is a V12 Engine with lots of power. It's all high end power. This is a heavy car with a large engine it gets 12-17 miles a gallon, depending on your use. This car drives like a dream, its unfortunate that the car is need of an entire paint job to bring to where I would want it. Don't get me wrong (as you can see from the photos) this 750il has fabulous lines and looks so elegant. This is a 1988 and it drives like your skating across ice. It needs more , it needs somebody who is willing to take the time to give this the attention it needs cosmetically inside and out. For starters, it comes solid with a great engine and transmission. The digital display for miles does not display any longer - Title reads exempt on mileage - no way of knowing the exact number. We estimate that it is less than 237K - We bought it a year ago and the title read exempt at the time. The title is free and clear.It is Gray in Color and the interior is blue leather with gray carpeting and CUSTOM Floor Mats. I have also installed a new battery (TOP of the LINE), new fuel filters (top of the line), new fuel pumps (top of the line) and various other items as well. In addition, it comes with a detachable face Pioneer CD player with am/fm radio. I have all the maintenance records while I have owned the car. This car is not perfect but it runs great and needs a new coat of paint. There is some minor repairs cosmetically on the interior. This 750il comes with Self Leveling suspension and it works perfectly. All tires hold air and you will need a new spare tire. The four tires on it are good tires. The sunroof/moonroof works and so do the two front windows. The two rear windows need attention. They work from the rear but the master control is not lowering them. It may be a new switch is needed. Also Headlights and brake lights all work. The car is not inspected or registered. It also comes with a $110.00 service manual that helps in the simplest of repairs. It comes with car. Also comes with the original owners manual and two keys with a BMW key ring. My guarantee is - If you buy the car and you show up to pick it up and you decide that you do not want the car then your deposit along with any other money will be refunded and no questions asked. All I would ask is that I keep $140.00 of the deposit to keep the market place open to serious buyers only. I do understand that you are buying sight unseen and if see the BMW and change your mind, no harm no foul. This is my guarantee to you, my buyer!! I can only offer this to the buyers that will pick up. If the car is shipped then the deal is done. Please know your buying a car from 1988 that will need attention but at the same time you will be buying a nice vehicle that runs solid and starts on the first turn EVERYTIME. With a little work you will have a top-of-the-line classic with a V12 engine and the ride in it, is as good, if not better, as any new car today. In addition: Driver door doesn't open from inside. You have to roll down the window and reach outside the door to open it. The headliner needs to be replaced, its slowly falling. Needs a new spare tire. Power steering has a small leak. Master window switch only rolls down the two front windows. Paneling on the drivers side, rear passenger door the wood paneling has come off. A/C needs Freon. There is a 2 inch tear in the drivers seat where the seam has come undone. Rear passenger interior cabin lights are not working.
