Hello, This is what I believe to be a 1940 GMC one ton Truck, I got it from a 73 year old man that said it was his fathers truck and he bought it new in 1939 and used it on his farm. it was last registured in 1973 as can be seen on the rear lic. plate, so it has not been run for over 40 years, the 73 year old guy said his father had a title to the old truck but he is dead and his 73 year old son sold it to me with no title, but i will give the new buyer a Bill of Sale for it at the auctions end and it is paid for. This old truck still has all its original parts as can be seen in all the pictures right down to the horn button and dash and steering wheel, all knobs present the cab floor is nice. it has the 270 GMC motor is what i was told, the 4 speed tranny is missing because the old guy said the motor was good but the tranny went bad back 40 years ago, the steering is tight and not sloppy, the hood and surounding tin is in great condition and the hood clamps hold the hood down perfectly. it would be hard to find a truck this old just sitting around and complete, minus the tranny and driveline, buy it to restore it, or if you like make a Hotrod out of it if thats what you are into, if you have any questions please just call Alan at 1 530 938 4232 Thanks for viewing my auction, Alan.
