I have a 98 Mustang v6 automatic transmission that i need out of my driveway.This has been a good car, it has been in my family for 5 years and we have never had any major mechanical problems with it. I have maintained this car very well, all oil changes have been done on 3000 miles and all tune up items were change within the last year.I have replaced shocks, u-joints in the drive shaft, transmission mount, brakes (and calipers in the back), fuel pump and filter, alternator, a/c pump and vacuum switches(under the dash), window motors (and track on the passenger side), door hinges on the drivers side (the door doesn't sag at all anymore). There are so many things on this car i have worked on or fixed over the years its hard to list them all.It has also had some visual upgrades added:Aftermarket headlights and taillightsAftermarket wheelsTinted WindowsAftermarket Side Roof Scoops (these are pretty rare)Kenwood CD-Player! This is a RUST FREE CAR!!! The car has been painted, but the paint is NOT perfect. It does have some blemishes. After the car was painted I hired a friend to do the buffing, and well it ate the clear coat in a few places. Its really not that bad but i just wanted to mention it up front before someone asks. This can be easily fixed, and it the weather was warmer i would have already fixed it.Now for the only bad things about the car. First it is higher mileage, but it still runs good. I drove this car all last year back and forth from pigeon forge to Morristown every day, it will do interstate speeds with no problem. But last year while we put on the after market wheels and it always seemed to vibrate at high speeds after that(could be an out of balance tire). Also the check engine light is on... its always been on, since the day i bought the car its been on. I took this to Autozone and they ran the codes and it can out to be 3 different codes and they couldn't figure out what it was, and recommended me to have it put on a big computer ($45) to see what the problem was. As that it ran and drove good i never did it. But recently it started acting a little funny, about once in 10 trips it will act sluggish for the first 5 mins, and then all the sudden it will just "kick in" (literally) and start running perfect. (local mechanic seems to think it is an egr valve needs replaced)This car CAN be driven away and I believe would be fine long distances. This car DOES have normal wear and tear of a higher mileage car. Please have consideration for this and bid responsibly.
