Up for auction is this 1992 Geo Metro LSI Convertible. We purchased this car 15 years ago.It was a 1 owner car and in nice shape back then. We used it for the latter part of the fall, stored it away and never bothered with it again.The years have taken it's tole on it. We had an ice storm a few years back and some tree limbs fell on the car. The rear trunk lid was dented on the drivers side and also dented and put a cut on the same side quarter panel. Passenger front fender was dented also. Water must have got in on the drivers side where the top meets the top of the door window and rusted out a portion of the front floor pan. I decided to bring the car in to asess the situation with it . I put a battery in it and it fired up and ran as new. Goes into gear fine . Brakes still work . All electricals, lights, turn signals, wipers,radio and heater still work. The interior will actually clean up nice. The unfortunate part is the drivers side floor pan ,inner rocker, and a section of braceing that goes from the inner rocker to the front frame area rotted out. There is some minor rust starting in the same area on the passenger side but nowheres near as severe. There are a couple of minor holes thru on both outer rocker panels. Surpriseingly the doors open and close as new and the outer body seems quite tight. Even the top of the rockers that make up the door openings are good and solid. probably would be more agrivation to fix it so would be best suited as a complete parts car. If you had a nice rust free Metro and needed a running gear , interior ,top or other items this would be great. You dont see these very often. I put the top down to take pics and i cracked the plastic back window. I taped it up to keep the weather out. Selling at no reserve high bidder gets it. We are keeping the new battery unless you want to pay extra for it. Please be serious in your bidding .If you have under 25 feed back please call us first before you place a bid.
