Bentley made almost ten thousand cars from 1946 to 1955 prior to the introduction of the Cloud and S series. perhaps 10% of them were not the standard 4-door version. This 1953 example was made by James Young for a Mr. TR Crawford in 1953.It has the larger, improved engine. The design is magnificent and greatly improves upon the standard body design. This car was fully restored about 15 years ago and barely used since. The woodwork is gorceous as the photos show. The paint is 90% excellent with a few areas needing attention, but there is no underlying rust, nor any rust underneath. The car cam to the US over 40 years ago. It is finished in burgundy over silver, and the interior is in beige hydes. It runs and stops fine, having been recently serviced. The photos speak for themselves-they car shows wonderfully, and is one of 14 made to this design by James Young in the early '50's. It will be a nice car to own with no surprises.
