1976 Triumph TR6 VIN # CF54904UO Engine # CF45223UE Paint: 85 Trim: 11 Up for sale is a beautiful Triumph TR6. This two owner 74,000 original mile car has been well maintained and very original. This TR6 has a folder full of receipts documenting the history of the car from day one. The documentation includes; original purchase contract, Triumph passport, owners card, owners manual, Heritage Certificate, and all service records. This low mileage TR is very original, retaining its original paint and interior. This TR has spent most of its life in Arizona/California and is rust free. Click to enlarge This roadster is finished in factory correct Java Green. It has been well cared for and is rust free with no sign of ever having accident damage. The car retains its original floor pans and other metal. This TR still wears its factory original paint. As you can see from the pictures, the paint still shines very nicely and looks great. The car is 37 years old and has been driven. Under very close inspection, you can see the age of the paint and there are a few minor blemishes/chips in the paint that are shown in the pictures. All of the panel gaps line up as they should. The glass is in great shape with no cracks and minor pitting on the windshield. All of the chrome and bright work are original and in very good condition with no pitting or major blemishes. The exterior is complete with a set of Michelin red line tires. Overall, the exterior of this Triumph is in good condition. The beautiful black interior is original and shows very nicely. The seats are very supportive and feel great to sit in. The carpet is in excellent condition with very little signs of wear. The door panels show very little wear. The windows are easy to see out of and are not yellowing and operate as they should. The dashboard features the correct Smiths gauges with all gauges and switches working. The dash wood is in very good shape. When the second owner purchased the car in 1987, he updated the radio with a Pioneer AM/FM cassette player that works as it should. The convertible top was replaced in 2006 is in great shape with no tears or cracks. The top has seen virtually no use since being installed. The interior of this car is in superb condition and is a great place to spend the weekend driving up your favorite twisty roads! Mechanically the car is as good as it looks. There is a folder full of receipts of mechanical maintenance for the car. The TR6 fires right up and runs like a top. There is no smoke on start up or while driving. The motor has great oil pressure. The Triumphs inline 6 engine has plenty of power to accelerate this lightweight car with ease and sounds amazing. The engine is mated to a 4speed overdrive transmission that shifts great through all the gears. The overdrive unit works as it should. The suspension and steering are nice and tight. The brakes are firm and the car stops with ease. This is a great running and driving car that never skips a beat. Overall, this car is mechanically sound and ready to be driven. The TR6 is an excellent weekend toy or daily driver. This is a great chance to own a very original TR6 at a reasonable price before they sky rocket like early TRs are starting to!
