Up for auction is very well kept Manx style dune buggy. It has been restored and garage kept for over 20 years. It has driver quality paint (a few nicks away from show quality). It drives great, shifts fine and runs fine. We own a performance shop and this was our late fathers who used it as his parade toy and Summer fun buggy. We were never really Volkswagen guys and while it hurts to see it go, it needs a new home so someone else can enjoy it as much as he did. The only thing that I notice cosmetically is the wheels have begin to surface rust a bit. The interior has new seat covers but the seats are not in bad shape, they are from a mid 80s Dodge Daytona and have a unique recline to them. There is both a CB, nice radio, and a multi horn PA in it that he used for parades. The interior roll bar is very functional as it stiffens these things up quite a bit. The hard top was a nice addition after getting caught in the rain a few times, our father was adamant about getting that done. We also accented the exterior with a set of red underneath glow lights, they look nice at night. The motor is a 1835cc with an Engle cam, lightened flywheel, block work was done by Keith's VW. This thing is very peppy. I would recommend putting a SCAT shifter in it, I never did like the Volkswagen stock shift pattern but to each their own.
