Vehicle Detail
1973 Datsun 240Z, with Automatic Transmission and 2nd 4 Speed Transmission and shifter will be shipped in back of car for installation at a later time if wanted. Mostly original orange #110 paint on the car with a few areas of re-paint. This car has a black interior that is in excellent condition for age and just needs the seat bottoms re-done. The dash is in good shape with one or two small cracks. All gauges working as well as electric antenna. The exterior emblems had been removed by previous owner and a couple of them were re-attached with adhesive because the plastic prongs were broken off. Most emblems are available aftermarket. The headliner is in very good shape as are the door panels. Windows roll up and down. Air Conditioning is all present but needs the belt re-installed and some R12 attention. Car runs and drives but is very cold blooded with those factory flattop carbs. Engine is clean and quiet for it's age and does not blow any smoke (blue or black). I found this car in a garage where it had been parked since 1985 in Northern California. Still wears the blue and yellow license plates. The car was on jack stands and the front hubs were removed. The emblems were also removed. It appears the previous owner had just started a restoration or facelift on the car and lost interest very quickly. The car was towed to a shop where it underwent a clean up and mechanical check. The master brake cylinder was replaced along with the front brake calipers and pads. The rear brake cylinders were also replaced. We replaced the alternator, battery, and fuel pump and ran another fuel line from the tank to the engine. A tune up kit was purchased and installed. This Z car had been on a California DMV non-op since 1985 and is now currently registered, insured and in my name. I currently have two other Z cars and don't need or want three but I had to rescue this car from the dark and put it back on the street. Feel free to visit my photo bucket page and look through almost 140 pictures of this car. http://s280.photobucket.com/user/saccyclone/library/1973%20Datsun%20240Z Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This Z car is about as rust free as any Z car that has not been on a rotisserie. There is a small (softball size) dent and paint removal on the lower front fender (see picture) however no rust through and it should be an easy repair. The rest of the paint is OK for a 40 year old car but it does have the usual scratches, scrapes, and minor dings. This is a great example of an early Z car and it will sell with no reserve and at a very low starting price. There is NO buy it now price. I have tried to describe this car in such a way that the buyer will receive a car that is in better condition than described. Car is sold as is - where is. No warranties expressed or implied. Yes, after full payment is received, I can store the car for a few weeks for transportation or overseas delivery. I have sold several cars to overseas buyers and am comfortable doing so. Contact me prior to bidding if you have little or no E-Bay feedback. If not your bid will probably be ignored and cancelled. Please contact me with any questions or to set up a viewing of the car.
