1951 Willys 4x4 Truck. Has a 305 mated using an adapter (Advance Adapters) to the original tranny and transfer case. It has a Petronix ignition. It has the stock front and rear axles. The rear is a Timken clam shell style. Body has no major rot. The truck was driver restored about 10 years ago. It's starting to show some rust in a few spots - rear tailgate hinge area is the worst spot.. The floor pans were patched at some point in the past, the rear fenders aren't original nor is the bed floor. Front end is very good. The frame is fantastic. Interior is good - dash needs some cleanup with gauges and wiring. Seat and door panels have been redone. Carpet on the floor. Windshield wipers have been moved to above the window. The truck runs well, shifts as it should, 4x4 works good. 31x10x15 Tires look almost new. Brakes and steering are original. It drives and tracks straight. Plenty of power, but still has the low gearing so at 50-55Mph the 305 is turning pretty good. It makes a noise from the clutch area and I'm pretty sure it's the throw out bearing. The clutch feels very good and it shifts nice. I have another complete, but very rusty 1950 truck cab. It does have many usable parts - some glass, door are saveable, hood, oil bath air cleaner, door mechanisms, pedals, shifters, heater, etc. It also has a hurricane F4-134 motor, the tranny, and transfer case along with the front axle in case you want to put it back to period origional. I also have a trailer from the period that needs restored. I will try to get a pic of this and post. In general, this is an older restoration. Drive it as is or restore.
