Vehicle Detail
I have a 1964 International Harvester Scout All Wheel drive for sale. My dad bought the scout a few years ago with the intention of restoring it but lost interest so I'm selling it. It's my understanding the Scout was running when it was put up. I have not tried to start it. The motor does turn by hand so I know it's not froze up. Here's what I know about the Scout.1. 4 cylinder motor. Looks like the original motor, but I do not know that for sure.2. 4 wheel drive3. Truck looks solid to me, there is some surface rust and some deeper rust but I have not seen any rotten areas or rusted out spots. The body looks to be in great shape for the age of the truck. the only place I have found a rust hole is on the bottom of the driver side door where it meets up with the front of the door jam and it's not a big hole. Floor pans are rusted but again no holes I'm aware of. Three tires hold air, one leaks out after a few days.4. I have tried to take pics of the truck and the rust I see. There are pics of the floor pans on driver and passenger side. There's a pic of the 'bed'...no rust in there. The truck was originally red and what you see on the paint is glue where carpet had been glued down. There's a pic of the rear hinge on the rear window--it's rusted but functional. the roof has only surface rust. I didn't even see any rust outs on the drip edge around the roof--there is surface rust, but it's not rusted out. the passenger side rear quarter panel has a spot where some previous body work has come undone. I think that's about it.5. it has a tow hitch too. I think the Scout would make a great starting place for a restore or a good vehicle to get running and have on the ranch. please email me if you have any questions. thanks for looking.
