Vehicle Detail
Overall: Parents - this is THE car you have been looking for for your teenager. Smoke free, clean car. And VOLVO SAFE. Very low miles and also very good condition on this 2001 Volvo S80 2.9. See photos. I am only selling it because we no longer need it due to recently buying a new Ford for my teenage son. If you are looking for that turn-key, economical, and very safe used car that has been carefully maintained and is ready to drive as is, then this is the right car for you. I have clear title. Performance: Car starts and drives smoothly. Every time. Handles well with no pulling to either side. AC blows cold. Heat is perfect. All electronics work. Excellent braking with no lateral pull. VA state inspection is current. It is a sweet and comfortable ride. You are welcome to come to my house and take it on a test drive if you like. Mechanical: Engine strong and quiet. Front brakes have only 10K miles usage on them, rear brakes are nearly new with fresh rotors (have the service receipts to prove and will provide them). Tires are 70K Sumitomo Tour Plus, bought in Sep 2012 at 93K miles so lots of life left in them. Timing belt was changed at 79K miles. No leaks at all. All fluids changed out at 93K miles. Other recent services (all routine): at 92K--fuel induction cleaning, new plugs/tune up, throttle body and gasket, new engine mount; and at 103K--new fuel filter and cabin air filter. I have two keys and one fob. Only possible future issue I can foresee is the passenger side front power window is moving slowly so this may indicate future service will be needed on it (or just leave it up). Car History: I bought it for my teenager from a dealer in May 2012. I was aware from the Carfax that the car had been in some sort of an accident in April 2010, but from the repair work that had been done on it, it was impossible to see any signs of damage. In fact, the car looks fantastic and drives exceptionally well so clearly whatever damage there was in 2010 was professionally repaired at that time. In Sep 2012, someone backed into the doors on one side and creased the sheet metal but that was also professionally repaired and looks virtually new now. I have the invoice for the 2012 body work, but not the 2010 repairs. Seller (me!): Model eBayer Check my 100% rating. I have sold some of my cars on eBay in the past and never had an unhappy buyer. You won't be unhappy either. I lay it all out there and tell you everything I know about the car, good and bad. I never have put my integrity at risk and never will. I am also perfectly amenable to you taking it to a repair shop to have it evaluated for yourself.
