Perfect candidate for restoration. Arizona vehicle. No rust. Started restoration process, but found a perfect 82 Westfalia (Currently listed on eBay). Decided to keep as "parts" car, but never needed any parts. Just celebrated 75th birthday. VW days are over. Driven daily for past 2 months. Vehicle has current state inspection sticker, registration, & license. This bus is mechanically perfect and is an everyday driver right now. Totally factory-rebuilt engine has less than 200 miles on it. Incredibly STRONG motor.New Bendix electric fuel pump.Transmission & clutch PERFECT.Less than 200 miles on new set of tires. With exception of panel above front seats & small interior light above driver-side door, no parts are missing. Panel would be easy to replace.Floor and interior tables have been redone. All interior fabrics & Upholstery have been retained for use as patterns for redo. Door locks will be rekeyed if requested or minor cost credited to buyer. Minor scratch & small dent (no crease) on sliding door. Finish should compound out nicely. Deficiencies: Needs fuel gauge (fuel tank hoses & gaskets have been replace). Fuel gauge is available from several sources. One rear tire may have flat spot - vehicle sat for 2 years. Drives down highway @ 75mph without a problem. Odometer does not currently work. Easy fix or use alternative speedometer unit. Earl Mann's Bug Shop in Ardmore, Oklahoma has access to all replacement parts if ever needed.
