Up for bidding is my 1968 Cadillac Coupe Deville. This vehicle has a brand new state inspection lasting until December 2014! The vehicle runs and drives well. First though... I ONLY want serious bidders. There is a lot of information to read below about this car. There are a lot of things that have been replaced but there is still attention required to make it an every day driver if that is your intention. It has 4 new tires, a new battery, alternator, fuel pump, air filter, oil filter, voltage regulator, lower radiator hose and a new water pump, a new power steering pressure hose. I have all documentation of all work and parts on this vehicle since I have owned it. It has had the intake manifold gasket replaced. It has had both valve cover gaskets replaced. It has had a tune up with new plugs, rotor, cap points and condenser. The odometer reads 35,000 miles, however it could be 135,000. It has all original hubcaps and are in very nice shape. The Frame is in great shape as well as the body. Paint has its fading in spots but overall looks verry nice. The interior is all original the seats have some rips and tears . The dashboard is in great shape with no cracks. It has the original radio but does not produce sound, It would need speakers too. All power windows. It has 2 vent windows that do function manually. Very nice chrome on the car as well! IT WILL NEED A TRUNK KEY MADE The top is not the original top, the car was actually a hardtop originally. The previous owner had chopped the top and fabricated a vinyl soft top for it. You must manually remove the top in order to make it a convertible. Its not the prettiest thing in the world but is functional. The fenderskirts will need some attention as they have holes from the previous owner attaching emblems on them. I have removed them and covered the holes but they will need to be welded. The car has the original radiator and has a slight leak along the seam on the passenger side that would need attention. Its not as bad when the weather is cold. I had a FLOWMASTER 40 series muffler installed on the vehicle. It has all new ALUMINIZED exhaust pipes from the front all the way out of the back of the car. I has a chrome exhaust tip as well. The transmission filter will need to be replaced as it has a leaking seal which is quite common on vintage automobiles. This DOES NOT effect the shifting of the transmission, however will need immediate attention. I would recommend having the front brake drums adjusted they seem to be sticking a little and will pull slightly at times when stopping and seem to be spongy at times.There are minor rust issues at the rear quarter panels but nothing that requires immediate attention. Overall this car is great I get compliments everywhere I take it. It is meant to be a toy and should not be an everyday driver. All original ignition systems = constant maintainance please understand this. I do recommend trailering the vehicle due to the brakes needing required attention! Car is sold AS IS.
