I have a 1961 Chevrolet Impala 2 door hardtop. I bought the car from the second owner. Previous owner said that he had bought the car from the original owner in the 80's and drove it on the weekends up until the motor threw a rod in 2001 so he stored it in his garage until I purchased it this February. I had the motor rebuilt and it is a 327 with a 4 speed tranny. It runs and drives good but does leak a little bit of oil because I used the original oil pan that was a bit beat up. It has the original fawn paint with nice patina. Driver door was replaced so the paint doesn't match the rest of the body perfectly. The car has a little rust in the driver side fender by the headlight, a little spot on the driver rocker, and some bubbling on the lower rear quarter. The lower driver quarter has some damage that will need to be addressed if you are going to make a show car. The front floor pans were patched by previous owner as well. The interior is nice driver quality far from show though. I also have the original kick panels I just installed the plastic replacement with new mb quart speakers and tweeters for some sound and installed a new kenwood cd player hidden in the tissue dispenser. The car has the hard to find front grill guard and rear bumper guards as well. I also have all 4 original paint wheels with the original hubcaps. All of the headlights and blinkers work as well and the brakes are good, it was my daily driver this Summer. Hard to find these cars now a days especially drivers with original paint! I have other impalas for sale as well and a solid 61 nomad wagon if anyone is interested. I also took closer pictures of the rust in the driver fender towards the headlight and little holes in the front of the rocker along with a pic of the rust in the quarter. I also got pictures of the fender skirts and og hubcaps.
