Up for bid: 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40 MY APOLOGIES TO THOSE WHO ASKED QUESTIONS AND I COULDN'T REPLY TO ON THE PREVIOUS LISTING - I WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ANY QUESTIONS THIS TIME. PLEASE BID ONLY IF YOU INTEND ON UPHOLDING YOUR END OF THE CONTRACT!! I bought this vehicle 5 years ago on a whim and have driven it about 10 times since purchasing it… It has a 350/4bbl Chevy (mild build) that provides plenty of power for a vehicle this weight - mated to a 3 speed auto with overdrive. Drives highway speeds (65). I recall when I purchased it that the seller said it had an Old Man Emu suspension (4 inch lift). It also has power steering, vented disk brakes (all around) and 35in tires. When the lift was accomplished, they did not compensate for the height; therefore, it cannot be put in 4 wheel drive at this time. An extension will have to be installed for the linkage. This is supposedly an inexpensive fix. This truck hasn’t been driven or started in a while so the battery is undoubtedly dead and the gas in the tank very old. It will HAVE to be trailered away. Having sat around for ages there IS rust; I tried to photograph the areas where it is most evident. Overall it is a truck with lots of potential, but needs work – a great winter project. With that said, please no tire kickers. I have been overseas for the majority of the 5 past five years (hence not driving it) and have ‘sold’ this truck a NUMEROUS times only to have the buyer back out for a multitude of reasons (didn’t check with wife, moving to Australia, etc), so please bid only if you intend on following through with the purchase. Anyone interested in viewing the truck or having any questions can contact me at 617-775-5007 between the hours or 10:00A.M. – 6:00P.M. Note: This is an auction. Please do not ask for the reserve price. On Dec-09-13 at 06:51:14 PST, seller added the following information: In the process of preparing this truck for sale, I managed to break off a valve stem of one of the tires; therefore, the truck now has a flat. To compensate the buyer for the inconvenience, I will refund $500 from the winning bid to the buyer. Highest bidder, please let me know if this is acceptable, if not, I will cancel your bid.
