Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1969 Alfa Romeo Spider. This car will need a complete restoration. Overall the car is straight. It has a fair amount of rust in the rear shelf behind the seats and in the floor boards. It does have some rust in the rockers, but not bad. The seats will need to be replaced. It will come with a 2 liter Spica injection engine and a 5 speed transmission, both of unknown condition. This car came new with a 1750cc engine. That engine is long gone. Also I will include two top frames, that should make one that is complete for the car. Also included are front bumpers in pretty good condition. The car is being sold with a bill of sale. However it will include the title, which was signed many years ago, but never transfered. I do have bill of sale documents showing the transfer from the title holder through a couple of other people and then on to me. The car is being sold with an original hard top. It will need new vinyl on the top, but otherwise is in very good complete condition. All glass and chrome is very nice. These are very hard to find. This hardtop will fit any roundtail Alfa Spider 1966-1969. Information from Alfa Romeo states: According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 1480225 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce USA (105.62), manufactured on the 6th February 1969 and sold on the 13th February 1969 to Alfa Romeo USA, Newark. The body colour is white, with black skai interiors. If anyone is interested in the car without the hardtop, or the hardtop without the car, please let me know, and we can talk about options. The car is in Denver Colorado. I may be able to arrange shipping to the northwest (Oregon) at a VERY reasonable price, sometime in the next couple of months. Thanks
