Vehicle Detail
For your consideration is a 1967 Volvo P1800S (chassis number 183451 M. NOTE: I listed this P1800S on eBay as a 1967 model year after finding this page online http://www.vlvworld.com/indexframe.html?VIN/plates6174.htm The title, registration, and custom CA license plate show a 1968 model year. I trust the Volvo enthusiast community more than the DMV. lol). I am selling this car for my friend. The interior is in good condition. I have misplaced the photos of the interior, but I will drive to my friends office and take some photos of the interior again. The exterior is in fair condition. This P1800S was purchased in November 2000, in Commerce, CA., with 963 miles listed on the odometer. On May 12, 2001 this P1800S was entered in the 11th Annual Westside Volvo Classic Car Show were it took 1st Place in the Stock Class. This P1800S was in the May-June 2001 Volvo Sports America Western State magazine. This P1800S has been driven about 500 miles since November 2000. The current mileage, on the odometer, is 1,438. This P1800S was has been parked in an office parking garage for the last 13 years and driven. We do not have any records before 2000, so we do not know the actual mileage of this P1800S . An eBay member asked if all of the gauges and accessories worked. Good question. When I retook the photos of the interior I checked the gauges and accessories yesterday (Dec. 5, 2013): Tachometer=Operational (Op), Water Temperature=Op, Oil Temperature=Inoperative(Inop), Speedometer=Op, Horn=Inop, Fuel Guage=Op, Oil Pressure=Op, Clock=Inoperative(Inop)., Fan=Inop. This P1800S had about $3,000 in maintenance done this year (Feb. 2013: Fuel Pump, Rear Wheel Cylinders, Rear Brake Shoes, Rear Brake Hose, Front Pads, Front Calipers, Brake Fluid Flush, Front and Rear Tires, Engine Oil & Filter. April 2013: Removed Fuel Tank to Clean and Seal, Fuel Cap, Tank to Pump Steel Line. May 2013: Headlight Bulbs). This is a southern California car. The engine runs nice. Alternator done in the past year. Tires all match and have majority of tread left. According to Wikipedia: 1800S As time progressed, Jensen had problems with quality control, so the contract was ended early at 6,000 cars. In 1963 production was moved to Volvo's Lundby Plant in Gothenburg and the car's name was changed to 1800S (S standing for Sverige, or in English : Sweden). The engine was improved with an additional 8 hp (6 kW). In 1966 the four-cylinder engine was updated to 115 hp (86kW). Top speed was 175 km/h (109 mph). In 1969 the B18 engine was replaced with the 2-litre B20B variant of the B20 giving 118 bhp (89 kW), though it kept the designation 1800S Questions?
