Vehicle Detail

Take a look at this completely rebuilt beautiful 1951 Willys M38 Army Jeep. Serial # MC33376 This jeep was rescued from a gentleman in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2012. It underwent a frame off rebuild. I've owned over thirty jeeps and have rebuilt/restored approx. 22 of them and have sold them successfully on e-Bay. This Jeep was in need of a complete rebuild. (I've included two before pictures towards the bottom of the listing) The frame and drive train were complete but needed some repair work. The engine is a correct MC engine made by Willys of France in excellent shape – it runs great and is very powerful. I had to replace the tub with a reproduction tub, but most of the other components are original Willys. (i.e. fenders, hood, grill, windshield, seat frames). The jeep has its military components de-commissioned – i.e. water fording gear removed, and 24 volt converted to 12 volts, civilian WO carburetor . Everything has been gone through on this jeep and everything has been sand blasted, cleaned, repainted, or replaced with new, NOS, or repro parts. Chassis and Drive Train: four new leaf springs , new shackles, new shocks, new axle bumpers, frame stripped/blasted and painted, some components repaired - new front bumper, new u-joints, new clutch and bearing, new seals and bearings on tranny and transfer case which were drained and cleaned repainted, and all fluids and gaskets replaced, new e-brake pads, hardware, and cable, new engine/tranny mounts, new brakes including all lines and hoses, new master cylinder, four new wheel cylinders. New steering wheel, new rear bumperettes, authentic pintle hook. Five vintage 7.00x16 NDCC tires (they are older but in great shape)on blasted and painted 16" original rims. Engine: Runs real strong and smooth, no smoke, no noises, great oil pressure. WO Carter Carb, civilian fuel pump, rebuilt manifolds and new gaskets, new 12 volt alternator, new cloth covered wiring, new battery, new hoses, new belts, new 180 degree t-stat, new temp. gauge, new ammeter, new fuel gauge and sender, new fuel lines, new plugs and wires. Radiator cleaned/repaired and painted. Civilian exhaust. Body: American made older reproduction M38 body; original fenders, original grill, original windshield including glass with new seal, hood and reproduction tailgate, original repaired seat frames, new fuel tank , new top bows, brackets and hardware, all new canvas top and seat covers (All canvas is Beachwood canvas), shovel and axe, original correct dated gas can, rebuilt blackout lights, new headlights and rebuilt tail-lights, repro. data plates with correct numbers matching the title. Misc: Vehicle is wired for 12V civilian use, all new gauges, including speedometer, all lights and new switches work properly except for old style light switch which is not connected to the new wiring. Original water fording system was not installed. Has proper vacuum windshield wipers installed and working. Vehicle includes pioneer tools. Vehicle has valid NJ title which shows that it is a 1951 Willys Jeep Serial #MC33376. Mileage is not accurate (new speedometer), but regardless of odometer reading this Jeep is better than motor pool, almost like it just came off the assembly line. The only thing left to do with this vehicle is have fun driving it and possibly outfit it with some Korean War Era paraphernalia. Vehicle is sold as is where is. No sales outside of USA. Shipping costs are responsibility of buyer. Will work with buyer to arrange shipping (i.e. drive it to local shipper or Port Newark.) Also, I can deliver it in an enclosed trailer for $800.00 non-refundable fee to NorthEast (NY,NJ, PA, CT, MA,NH,ME, MD,VA). Deposit via Paypal, balance in cash or wire transfer upon pick up or prior to shipping. No checks, no trades, no scams. The "Buy It Now" price is realistic price, the reserve price is very close to that. Just look at the other M38 listings on e-Bay. This Jeep will sell as have all my previous restorations, don't let it slip away.
