For auction is a 1988 Toyota Celica All-Trac Turbo Liftback with about 160,000 miles. Turbocharged twin-cam 2.0 liter 5-speed manual transmission developing up to 190 HP @6000 RPM, with 7200 RPM red line. The specs say this car can do 135 MPH, though I've only had it to 125 and there was still a little bit of reserve left. This model was created to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC), GT-Four Division, mandating that a manufacturer has to build sufficient numbers of road-going versions of their racing vehicles. All Japanese built at Toyota's Tahara plant outside of Nagoya, Japan. I have owned this car since May, 1994 when it had 38,000 miles. I am the third owner and the friend I bought it from kept it under a car cover in a garage. You may wonder why I'm selling it after all this time; its because we have a newborn on the way. There is full-time all-wheel drive (AWD), anti-lock braking system (ABS), air conditioning, power sun roof, reclining leather seats and room for a full size spare tire. The car is stock except for the suspension and aftermarket 16 inch wheels (original 14 inch alloy wheels included). 205/VR50-16 Toyo Extensa speed-rated tires about half worn all around. The negatives on this car: The leather seats are very worn, the cassette player doesn't work (the radio does), the speedometer/odometer does not work (quit at 89K miles-we use GPS), the power antenna has been replaced with a stationary one (the power unit still works), the trim is missing on the left side of the windshield and the windshield has a small star break. There 2 very small dings on the right side and a small blister on the roof. All paint is original. This car is a real racer when the turbo spools up and really hangs in the turns.
