1984 Suzuki ALT 125

Up for auction is a 1984 Suzuki ALT 125 three wheeler in pretty rough shape and almost running. I say almost...this three wheeler wants to run, it really does, with enough pulls you can get it to start and rev somewhat, but dies out pretty quickly. The brakes work but not great, they will stop you, the transmission seems to shift properly, I had it up into 3rd or 4th gear (moving along I mean) and back down again. Reverse does indeed work, the tires hold air ok, the headlight casing has been relocated to the front fender-not by me-and the taillight is hanging by its wiring, as I said, this thing is rough, but I'll wager it has life left in it for 'light duty', and with some TLC. My thought is that with a good carb cleaning and general going over this machine could make someone a cheap little off-road runabout. It belonged to my wife when we met, she had bought it (in running condition) from a friend of hers for her two boys-she doesn't even remember what was paid for it. It quit running, sat for a couple of years, and shortly after we got together I got it out of her garage and messed with it, bought a working (but not new) recoil starter and new shift lever here on Ebay. I got it to run and even drove it around a handful of times, it currently will not start, at least not without numerous, NUMEROUS pulls, and as I say--even then it doesn't stay running. So, fix it up or part it out, here it is, local pickup only, winning bidder must pick up this vehicle within ten (10) days of auction or I will re-list it.
