TO START, I AM SELLING A NICE DRIVER 70 1/2 RS CAMARO. THERE IS A LENGTHY DESCRIPTION THAT FOLLOWS, IT IS VERY DETAILED BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE CAR IS LIKE. IT STARTS EASILY, & DRIVES NICELY. I HAVE IT ADVERTISED AS A TRUE RS V8 CAR. THE V8 IS VIN CODED, BUT THE RS IS NOT ON THESE CARS. THE ONLY WAY TO PROVE A REAL RS SPLIT BUMPER IS WITH A BUILD SHEET, RS WAS NOT CODED ON THE TRIM TAG. I DO NOT HAVE A BUILD SHEET FOR THIS CAR, BUT IT HAS ALL OF THE CORRECT BRACKETS, THE HIDDEN WIPERS, CORRECT PARKING & TAIL LAMPS & ALL OTHER DETAILS THAT ONLY RS CARS CAME WITH. A GOOGLE SEARCH WILL VERIFY THIS EQUIPMENT. FOR SALE IS A 1970 CAMARO RS SPLIT FRONT BUMPER THAT WAS MADE INTO A Z28 CLONE! IT IS HOWEVER, A REAL RALLY SPORT V8 CAR. HE DID TAKE IT OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE ARE A FEW MINOR ISSUES WITH THE CAR. THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS. NONE OF THE FACTORY DASH GAUGES ARE WORKING. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID ADD TWO AFTERMARKET GAUGES, WHICH ARE OIL PRESSURE AND A TEMP GAUGE. THESE TWO GAUGES FUNCTION PROPERLY. THERE ARE A FEW WIRES THAT ARE UNHOOKED UNDER THE DASH AND MAY BE THE REASON THAT NONE OF THE FACTORY DASH GAUGES WORK, BUT I CANNOT SAY FOR SURE. THE SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT WORK. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT WORK EITHER, AND NEITHER DOES THE HORN. THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAILIGHTS DO WORK. I HAVE INCLUDED A PHOTOBUCKET LINK WITH APPROX. 120 PICTURES OF VIRTUALLY EVERY DETAIL OF THIS CAR. PLEASE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT THEM, AS I AM TRYING TO BE AS HONEST ABOUT THIS CAR AS I CAN. THE FENDER TAG SHOWS THE ORIGINAL EXTERIOR COLOR TO BE CITRUS GREEN, #43 IS ON THE TAG. SOMETIME IN THE CARS PAST, IT WAS PAINTED YELLOW AS THE PICTURES SHOW. AS NOTED EARLIER IT IS AN ORIGINAL RS CAR, IN WHICH THE PREVIOUS OWNER ADDED Z28 EMBLEMS TO CLONE IT INTO A Z28. ENGINE: THE ENGINE IS A 350 SMALL BLOCK. IT IS STOCK AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. IT IDLES AND RUNS VERY WELL. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR, AS I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH GM PRODUCTS. AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR A SHORTY EXHAUST WITH MUFFLERS WAS ATTACHED TO THE HEADERS THE CARB. IS AN EDELBROCK 4 BBL. THE ORIGINAL BATTERY TRAY WAS MISSING WHEN THE CAR WAS PURCHASED. THERE IS HOWEVER, A BRAND NEW AFTERMARKET BATTERY TRAY, TIE DOWN BRACKETS, AND FASTENERS FROM AMES PERFORMANCE THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR. TRANSMISSION: IT HAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. IT APPEARS TO BE A 350 TURBO. IT DOES HAVE AN AFTERMARKET TRANS PAN WITH THE COOLING TUBES. UPON TEST DRIVING THE CAR, IT SHIFTS SMOOTHLY AND SEEMS TO BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SHIFT INDICATOR IN THE DASH IS NOT HOOKED UP TO THE TRANSMISSION LINKAGE AS IT, AS WELL AS THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK LINKAGE WERE REMOVED MANY YEARS AGO REAR AXLE: THE REAR END HAS A 10 BOLT COVER ON IT. UPON ROTATING THE REAR WHEEL WHILE THE REAR TIRES ARE OFF THE GROUND IT APPEARS TO BE AN OPEN REAR END. NOT SURE WHAT GEAR RATIO IT HAS IN IT THOUGH. TIRES: THE FRONT AND REAR TIRES HAVE LITTLE IF NO WEAR ON THEM!!!!! INTERIOR: PLEASE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT ALL OF THE PICTURES AS WORDS ALONE CANNOT DESCRIBE EVERY DETAIL. THE DASH IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL RADIO IS MISSING. THERE IS HOWEVER, A PERIOD CORRECT AFTERMARKET RADIO THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR!!!!! PLEASE NOTE IN THE PICTURES THAT THE CLOTH SEAT COVERS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED, AS SOME OF THE FABRIC IS WORN OFF ON THE TOP EDGE OF THE REAR SEAT AS WELL AS ON THE FRONT BUCKET SEATS. THE CARPET MUST HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER, AS IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR, THE CONSOLE GLOVE BOX DOOR WAS REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW AFTERMARKET ONE. OTHER THAN THAT, THE CONSOLE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION!!!!! THE HEADLINER IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE INNER DOOR PANELS ARE PRESENTABLE FOR A DRIVER CAR, BUT WILL PROBABLY NEED TO BE REPLACED IF YOU WANT TO SHOW THE CAR! EXTERIOR: AS NOTED EARLIER, THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY CITRUS GREEN #43 ON THE FENDER TAG. AT SOMETIME IN THE CARS PAST, IT WAS REPAINTED YELLOW. OVERALL, THE PAINT LOOKS VERY NICE. THERE ARE HOWEVER,SOME SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE, AS WELL AS A FEW MINOR DENTS. OTHER THAN THAT, IT SHOWS VERY WELL. PLEASE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT THE PHOTOBUCKET LINK WITH APPROX. 120 PICTURES AS IT WILL TELL YOU MORE ABOUT THE BODY THAN I CAN DESCRIBE IT. I TRIED TO TAKE CLOSEUPS OF AREAS WERE THERE IS A LITLLE RUST BUBBLING THRU, (PLEASE LOOK AT THE LOWER FRONT AND REAR CORNERS OF BOTH DOORS.) THERE DOOR AND HOOD AND FENDER GAPS HAVE A FEW FITMENT ISSUES, HOWEVER, GIVEN THE ERA THESE CARS WERE ORIGINALLY BUILT, MAYBE THAT IS HOW IT WAS BUILT. UPON PURCHASING THE CAR, THE UPPER DOOR, GLASS WINDOW SEALS WERE REPLACED. THERE ARE A FEW AREAS ON THE OUTER EDGES OF THE REAR GLASS THAT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN HAZED BY A DA SANDER. MY GUESS IS THAT IT WAS NEVER REMOVED WHEN PREPPING THE CAR YEARS AGO TO PAINT IT YELLOW? JUST TRYING TO GIVE AN HONEST DESCRIPTION, NOT KNOWING ABOUT THE CARS HISTORY. FRAME AND FLOORPAN: PLEASE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT ALL OF THE PICTURES ON THE PHOTOBUCKET LINK AS I TRIED TO GIVE AND HONEST ASSESSMENT OF BOTH THE FRAME RAILS AND THE FLOORPAN. OVERALL I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE FRAME RAILS AS WELL AS THE FLOORPAN. YOU WILL NOTE IN THE PICTURES, THAT SOMETIME IN THE CARS PAST, THAT FRAME CONNECTORS WERE WELDED IN. THE FLOOR PAN LOOKS VERY SOLID. I DID NOTE HOWEVER, THAT WHERE THE FRONT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR WHEEL HOUSING MEETS THE REAR SEAT FLOOR PAN THAT THERE IS A LITTLE RUST THRU. AGAIN, PLEASE LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT ALL THE PHOTOBUCKET PICTURES!!!!! OTHER THAN THAT IT LOOKS VERY SOLID! IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK ME.
