Vehicle Detail

This car has been in Sunny California all its life. When I purchased it, the vette resided in the San Diego area. So, it is very clean. The receipts show that this car was owned by Emerson Glazer, he is a prominent businessman in the Los Angeles area. He also loves high end cars, the net will show you some cars he is building. Google him and you will see that he is still into the high end cars. The portfolio of receipts are from Dick Guldstrand and Harry Mann. Both are high end garages in the Los Angeles area. If you look at the vin, you will see that this car originally was a big block car. vin# 1Z67J3S###### That was pulled out and replaced with a Traco 350 LT1 engine and a Traco 5 speed transmission. Traco has a long history of building high end drive trains. The Engine was built towards the 1970 LT1. It has a LT1 Intake, LT1 Crank, and Connecting rods. The Pistons are 9.3 and it has a Ingle Cam the notes read, 523, 276, .470. The car runs great and doesn't smoke or leak any oil. The engine is also very clean. There isn't any scale on the frame and no rust bulges anywhere under the fiberglass. The bird cage is in excellent shape. You can walk around the car and see all the bonding stripes on all four panels. There are also some suspension upgrades, racing seat belts and a roll bar in it. I have owned the vette for a few years and I put a new tank and sending unit in it, 4 new calipers with high pressure hoses and a new master cylinder. I have purchased a TrueFlex front cover for the car, but have not put it on the car. I set the cover on the front bumper and you can see it in the pictures. I also have new upper and lower radiator hoses, but didn't install them yet. I was planning on pulling the radiator, flushing it and having it checked out. So my driving has been limited to the yard. I do move it regularly, and it will easily load. I would question the drivability with it yet. I mean I wouldn't take it on any long trips. The tires are like new, but they are showing age. It would needs some more tinkering before I would take it on a cruise. The original color of the car is Bright Yellow. The top works fine, but it is a manual top. The back glass is shot, so it is a candidate for a new top. There is no hardtop. (you don't need them in LA) All the AC equipment is there and the compressor turns over by hand. Here is a you tube link and I did a walk around on the car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8eO7MzKWjY In the past few years all I have been doing is moving it from garage to garage. I think there is someone out there that would appreciate it and take care of it. This car has an interesting history. I have lots of documentation that will go along with the car from the work completed by Dick Guldstrand and Harry Mann. If you have any further questions, please call me.
