1970 Triumph Bonneville

Found in a small british motorcycle shop in upstate NY, this 1970 Triumph Bonneville is in original condition! This is a true "barn find" the "holy grail" of Triumph motorcycles! This bike shows pitina from sitting for 32 years in the showroom/storage area of the shop... The New York regsitration shows the last date as 4/30/1981... that was the last time this bike saw the light of day until we picked it up a few days ago.. I will let the pictures do the talking.. The engine turns over fine.. Every part is original with the exception of the throttle cables, front clip for the brake cable is the replacement type, wiring is all there and not molested.. Every part looks to be the one that came on the bike.. The paint is faded but looks to be 100% original.. Gas tank has been empty since 1981 (the last picture shows the inside of the gas tank), tires show cracking and signs of age and are also "Made in Great Britain"... this is the real deal people... I have not tried to get it running, the compression is low and it will need a top end to get running or a total engine rebuild because its been sitting for so long.. This bike is a time capsule.. I want to run the auction with the bike just the way it sits, if it doesnt sell, I will do a top end and get it running then try and sell it again.. Or keep it... The reserve is low so bid to win..
