This is a very nice and rare 1968 Camaro RS/SS power by a V8 350ci 295HP, 4 speed transmission, power brakes, power steering, power top, center console with gauges, factory tack and clock on the cluster, chrome rally rims, hideaway headlights, brand new $5,000.00 paint job.This is a low production number car XX0011The body and paint is perfect, with no dents or scratches, ORIGINAL interior is in good shape, the driver seat has a small rip under the back section, you only can see it ones it is open to access the back seat.All the gauges are working fine, but the speedometer will need a new cable.The power convertible top is in good shape and working as it should. Car goes down the road very good with lots of POWER, this car is fast!Tires are about 70% on the front and 50% on the rear.The under carriage is as nice as the rest of the car. just perfect! This has to do with the record keeping from GM, some models might have been combos such as SS/RS and 1 car might be recorded in both models but only show as one in the total production. In other words, 40.7% of all Camaro SS cars came equipped with the 350CI/295HP engine. So let's take some liberty with these numbers. Assuming that half of the Camaro SS cars had the RS option, that would give us a total of 15,348 Camaro RS/SS cars produced. Knowing that 40.7% of all Camaro SS cars came equipped with the 350CI/295HP engine that gives us a total of 12,496. Finally taking into consideration that only 3.1% of all 1968 Camaros were convertibles, we can extrapolate that of the 15,348 Camaro RS/SS cars built, ONLY 388 were 1968 Camaro 350 RS/SS convertibles. I know, I didn't even break down the 4-speed and automatic numbers.
