This 1953 Dodge Pickup was used on my family's farm up until sometime in the 1980's when it was retired. As recently as the mid 90's we were able to get the motor to turn over, but the truck has not run in years. At one point a restoration effort was started on it but we ran out of gas fairly quickly. However, it has been partially disassembled, primarily the front part of the body. All parts are in the pickup bed. There is a second set of doors included in the sale - these doors are black. I don't know a lot of details about it but I believe it is a straight 6 engine, with a "3 on the tree" manual transmission. The truck has been stored in a barn for its entire life - that is, it has not been left outside to experience the elements but has been stored in a covered environment. It would make a good parts car for someone doing a restoration of another vehicle, or for those with enough time on their hands, a restoration project.
