This truck was thoughtfully planned out and frame off restored 12 years ago in 2001. It has 17,211 miles since the restoration and it has been garage kept, protected, and well cared since the restoration. Paint & Body The color is 1951 Chevy truck Mariner Blue (basecoat/clearcoat). The body is all original steel and it is rust free and always has been. The truck is straight down the sides and a nice truck. The paint is slick like glass however it does show its age a little with a few small spider web cracks and a couple of chips here and there. They are barely noticeable. All of the glass (tinted) and the rubber seals around the glass were replaced when it was restored. It got new front and rear chrome bumpers and all of the trim and bright work are in good condition. The bed is solid oak with stainless bolts. The wheels are 8x15 Rally’s front and 9x15 on the rear with BF Goodrich Radial TA’s..(P255/60’s front & P275/60’s rear) with flat center caps and beauty rings. The stance and look of the truck is awesome. Interior The interior was completely and professionally restored. The seat was custom built and cut down from a late model truck and it is very comfortable. Behind the seat is a new stainless fuel tank with all new lines/hoses/fittings. The tilt steering column was brand new along with the wheel and yes the horn does work. It has a new wiring box under the dash with all new wiring. The floor is solid under the new rubber mat. The door panels and headliner were restored and it does have seat belts by the way. The gauges were restored and they are 100% functional and the miles on the speedometer are since the restoration in 2001. As I mentioned above already, the AC blows hard and cold and in that small cab it really does it job. Engine & Drivetrain The engine, transmission, and rear end are all originally from the same 1969 Chevy Nova. Of course all were completely disassembled and professionally rebuilt with high performance parts and no expense was spared. The motor was bored .030 over with Flat Top pistons, new crank, all new internals and it has 58cc heads. It has a perfectly tuned Edelbrock 500 carburetor on a Holley aluminum performance intake. It has a new aluminum hi flow radiator with an electric fan set up on heat sensor timer. Under the hood is very neat and show quality with finned aluminum valve covers and all of the wires and lines are neat and thoughtfully ran. The AC compressor is chrome and the exhaust manifolds are powder coated. The motor looks like it was born in this truck. It has power steering and power disc brakes however the brake booster and master cylinder are mounted neatly underneath on the frame as you will see in the undercarriage pictures. The engine matching transmission was completely taken apart and rebuilt with all new internals also. The rear end is the matching Chevy 10-bolt once again rebuilt with highway friendly 2:73 gear ratio. Undercarriage This truck is clean and neat on the bottom as you will see in the pictures, just like the topside. In the front it got a new Mustang II power rack & pinion front end with disk brakes and 2” drop spindles. It included tubular upper & lower control arms and new coil over shocks also. It also has new tie rods and ends and a front stabilizer bar. The rear end has new leaf springs with 3” lowering blocks and new shocks and bushings. The spare tire is mounted neatly and snugly in place. The dual exhaust is stainless with the short Flowmaster mufflers and it sounds as good as it looks and runs.
