This is the real thing! A beautiful Meyers Manx dune buggy in excellent condition. This is #046 of the 100 Signature-Series Meyers Manx bodies/kits that Bruce Meyers sold in 2000. I am the original owner/builder of the car. It has been on the road since May 2001 and presently has 38,215 miles on it. The color is Canary yellow. The buggy looks, runs and drives great, it has been adult-driven, on-road only. The only off-road driving has been to the beach. It has won numerous awards at VW shows in Florida and the Midwest. Winner of Manxclub.com Buggy of the Month, August, 2003. Features: Chassis: Berrien Buggy tube chassis with 1973 VW (Ball joint front, IRS rear) suspension stock VW Beetle brakes and fiberglass floor. Engine: Gene Berg 1776cc Type-1 VW with ported and polished, semi-hemi heads, Engle 110 cam and dual Berg/Weber 42 DCNF carbs with Gene Berg linkage. Very smooth, torquey, flexible and reliable. Ignition: Mallory Unilite distributor with MSD 6-A ignition box. Exhaust: Meyers Manx Sidewinder. Transaxle (IRS): Rancho Pro-Street VW Type-1 with 4.12:1 R&P, stock gear ratios. Other features: Corbeau suspension seats (very comfortable), custom-built, laminated back seat with flush tie-downs. Steering column is 1973 VW. Tail lights and turn signals are 65 VW, license light is 64 VW. Gauges (Speedo, Fuel and Tach) are 1965 VW. Roll bar and front bumper are stainless-steel. Wheels are Weld Draglites, tires are BF Goodrich radial TA's. The car also has the Meyers Manx hard-top with custom-made oak surfboard rails. Thanks for looking.
