Vehicle Detail

If you want to buy a piece of Rambler history, or build a super, "FAST and LOUD" type street rod, by YOU, and not by Richard Rawlins (who I think is GREAT by the way) , this is the car. I'm only selling this car because of unforeseen health issues I now have. This is a NO RESERVE auction. Minimum bid is $2000.00 and will buy this car if auction bids don't go higher. Good luck. This 1959 Rambler Classic 4 door, ALL ORIGINAL Survivor is in very good, if not excellent condition. I will list everything I am aware of, can think of, and see, as best I can. First, I purchased this car to do (copy) the "Fast and Loud" Rambler wagon similar street rod build Richard Rawlins did on "FAST and Loud". I know the "Fast and Loud" car was nowhere near as good condition as this car is. I know he had to replace the interior, and that car had a lot of rust, and was not recently driven prior to his purchase. This car's interior and exterior is in excellent condition. This car was original bought new in Trenton, and driven by the original, "little ole lady" until mid July, 2012. I purchased the car, not running in October 2012 from a dealer in Trenton who is documented as the second owner, I am the third owner. I have a clear NJ title. The car body, underbody, original paint, engine compartment, trunk, has very little if any rust. To my knowledge the car has never been in an accident, and shows no sign of paint, or body work. There are no water leaks into the interior, trunk or engine compartment. The interior is in excellent condition with seats apparently covered in plastic when purchased by the "little ole Lady" in 1959. There is no mold, car was not smoked in, or any negative smells in the car. In my opinion only the black rugs need to replaced, and their is a small repairable, 2" rip in the passenger side rear door upper headliner apparently caused by a coat hanger. The dash board and all controls are in excellent condition. The passenger side front door glass is cracked. This glass is readily available I have found out. The car tires are in excellent condition. No dents, or dings that I have seen. The chrome and trim, and 4 wheel covers are in excellent condition. Battery is new. I had a mechanic replace the bad fuel pump with a new one, he started the motor, and heard a knock. End of my story reference the motor and drive train. If you want to keep this car original, the motor most likely will have to be rebuilt, or replaced. There are two OEM (196) motors available here from another person if you are interested. My guess is the push button transmission is ok, but I cannot confirm that. I've tried to upload pictures that would show the complete car and any flaws. If you have a reasonable question(s), I will try to awnser them. A serious buyer is welcome to inspect the car prior to auction closing if you can get to Pennington, NJ. Email me to set up an appointment. Please note: the car is not driveable, and is sold "As Is", "Where Is", with no warranty, and no guarantees. Car must be towed or moved by flatbed within 30 days of end of auction. Please don't bid if you don't intend to pay. If you don't have 10 or more EBAY purchases please contact me before bidding. Good luck bidding, and stay safe.
