1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sedan! This car was purchased new and spent 58 years of it's life with one owner in dry arid west Texas! The engine is number matching and the car is ready to drive today! It received one overspray of black sometime in it's life, we are guessing sometime in the seventies. The paint is showing it's age and has checks, scratches, pings, dings etc, but shines like a new dime.The undercarriage on this car is phenomenal and as clean as you could ever hope to find......solid braces, body mounts and inner rockers with no rust and no crust. All floors are solid. Flat part of the driver floor was repaired with metal at some point and is solid.The trunk pan, tail pan and shock mounts are all solid. There is an old repair down low on the passenger door and one over the driver side fender headlight. The car was stored for 15 years after the sole owner got up in years and unable to drive. It's been taken out of mothballs and brought back from it's sleep! The interior is all ratty AND original ......Headliner, sun visors, door and rear side panels, dash paint etc. Seats had cloth redone and they are still quite useable. Even the carpet is orig.....slick and ratty but there. All orig factory LOF glass in good condition except driver door which has cracks. The engine is the factory 235 with casting numbers that match on the Texas title. The engine has no smoke, blowby or inordinate noises. The transmission is the factory three speed manual on the column which shifts perfect, never hangs and has no noise. A brand new fuel tank has been installed. All running lights, gauges, vacuum wipers work. Heater is hooked up but havent looked into it. Ditto with the factory horns. we obtained the car with it's factory wheels and hubcaps with a good set of blackwall tires. We installed the Vintage Keystone mags. The fronts are 14" with brand new 205 75 r tires and the rears are 15" with 235 60r tires in great condition. The car will be sold with it's orig wheels and hubcaps. The Keystones will be included with buy it now or sold or substituted for an upcharge .
