As a hand-built “halo” offering for General Motors under the Buick brand, there were fewer than 2,500 convertibles built in the 1990-91 model years, and this “loaded” example is in the very rare Black & Tan color scheme. At this time is has just over 114K on the clock (which will go up as it is my daily driver…yes I choose it over two brand new vehicles in the garage), which is very low for a twenty-three year old car, and is in great condition both aesthetically and mechanically. I have the Owner’s Manual & Booklet and original window sticker, indicating that this unit has the only two options available for the 1990 model year…factory CD Player (only plays true CDs due to the early tech optics) and the Sixteen-Way Adjustable Driver’s Seat. At this time it is equipped with an aftermarket Stereo/Bluetooth/Navigation System which I will return to the original Stereo head unit prior to sell (it is the “fully functional” original will be included in the auction). If you are familiar with these cars, you will note that I have changed some of the interior accents to black to make it look more appealing…sewn leather steering wheel wrap, speaker fabric, console carpeting, and floor mats. Everything works, the digital gauge cluster is fully-functional, and the convertible top has no signs of wear or any tears, etc. There are a few areas where the paint could use some touch up…rear bumper and of course the front valance and hood have some touched up chips/scratches…it is a black car; but overall it looks great, and the tan leather seats are in very good condition with no rips or tears. Way ahead of it’s time, it includes factory keyless entry and all power features. It is riding on spotless Liquid Metal 16” aluminum wheels with nearly new tires (about 5,000 miles on them), and over the past few months I have replaced the following items to maintain its great running condition: exhaust system/muffler/catalytic converter, idler pulley, sway bar end links, rear brake pads & calipers, front brake pads & rotors, platinum plugs & wires, fuel induction/injector cleaning, harmonic balancer, crankshaft position sensor, front struts, front-end alignment, water pump, and the transmission and coolant systems have been flushed in the last month. Additionally, the headlight motor arms have been replaced with steel units that will not fail like the originals.
