This is a 1982 Jeep Scrambler, original 6 cylinder, manual transmission. I bought this Scrambler last summer with plans to restore it. I had a friend look at it for me as I was out of state. He is a commercial truck mechanic and gave it a thorough mechanical and frame review. I have not actually seen it in person as I now live in Maryland. I sent it to a Jeep shop in Michigan to get an estimate for the work I wanted to have done because being in Maryland now without a proper garage or tools makes it impossible for me to do any of the work. The Jeep is running pretty well according to the guys at the shop but does have a slight leak in the rear axle. I was going to switch out the axles to one-piece anyway and they said it's not an urgent fix. The floors are rusted and should be replaced. There are a few exterior spots of surface rust and the typical Jeep rust on the tub. The bulkhead is good and the frame is great according to the guys at the shop. I planned to do the body work myself but now would have to pay to have it done and that's expensive. This is a good restoration Scrambler. If you can do body work yourself or buy a new tub and swap it out them this is a nice opportunity as the frame is good, it is mechanically good, and it's got all the parts (minus the windshield). It has a few sets of seats as well. The actual mileage is unknown as you can't always trust the odometer. The previous owner told me that he bought it in Alabama, shipped it to Michigan and it sat in his garage for a few years. Again, I have not actually seen this Jeep in person but trust the opinions of my friend and the guys at the Jeep specialty shop where it currently sits.
