Vehicle Detail

Too many projects going, time to thin the herd! This is a great survivor car. What’s even better is it’s had a mountain of refreshes in the past several months that include all things I personally need done for my own peace of mind. They include, full Tune-up that includes plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ignition coil, carb overhaul, egr valve, O2 sensor, map sensor, all new belts, vacuum lines, air filter, and oil change. New shocks were put on as is a new exhaust. The car runs great, drives straight and turns heads! The car has brand new window tint and brand new window sweeps on both doors. (The rubber strips that are on each side of the driver and passenger door windows) The speakers were rotted so all four have been replaced with quality Kenwood speakers and deck. I had the front wheel bearings changed as well as the U-joints on the drive-shaft. This car is a California Blue-Plate special. It’s virtually rust free. The Paint is original and shows very well. There is some lacquer checking across the trunk if you look very closely but you have to look very closely to notice. I believe it’s never been in an accident, there is no plastic filler anywhere, a magnet sticks anywhere you put it. All the glass is good, no pits or cracks. The T-tops fit well. The Tires are deep in tread. The car is fully equipped. It’s a Brougham, so it came with it all. In 1982, there were no V-8 gas engines in the Grand Prix lineup. This car came with the biggest V-6, the Buick 4.1 which is basically the same block as the 3.8 used in the Regal and Grand National. It has the Turbo-350 3-speed automatic transmission, Ice Cold Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, Six way power Seat, Ralleye II wheels with caps and trim rings, Full gauge package with factory tachometer and digital (clock which even works about half the time), EXTRA sound insulation everywhere. This car is quiet to drive. IT also has all the courtesy lighting package, coach lamps and we’ve added a Viper alarm/Keyless entry system. There is also a brand new heavy duty battery, the original T-Top padded sleeves to store and protect the tops in the trunk or the closet, the original Jack and lug wrench, Star Wrench, Original Service Manual and Fisher Body manual as well as original Dealership Sales brochure So what’s left.. Well, it’s a project in process, so the only real issues are a slightly faded interior that can be dyed back to new, I just haven’t gotten that far in the process. There are no tears, or rips or burn holes, the seats are all in great shape and are the velour, loose cushion style. There’s a small hole alongside the Power Seat switch and is in a place where it could be tucked up under the switch as a repair. The Carpets are in great shape, as is the headliner and plastic trim around the interior. The Door panels are mostly in great shape as well with the exception of the plastic being easily scratched and has in a few places. The car has a bad Power antenna and I have a new one to replace it. Lastly, I’ve already purchased and come with the car, all new door seals, T-Top seals (Inner and outer), window seals and trunk seals. The entire set brand new is included and still in the original box. There’s also a new Fuel pump. This being a part that wasn’t bad on the car, but something I bought to refresh everything that easily fails, such as all that was listed above. Lastly the Cruise control had a bad servo unit, and there’s one included to install. So all these things come with it. It won’t take a whole lot to bring this car up to extremely nice-survivor standards. If you’re a G-Body fan, you’ll love this car. It runs very good, drives straight and true, the transmission shifts crisp and this thing gets a TON of attention when you take it anywhere. Lots of curb appeal here, no doubt about it. THE CAR COMES WITH A PASSING ARIZONA EMISSIONS CERTIFICATE AND NEW ARIZONA LICENSE PLATES. THE CALIFORNIA BLUES GO ONLY TO A CALIFORNIA BUYER! THE CAR IS ALSO LISTED LOCALLY AS WELL AS OTHER VENUES AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IF SOLD BY OTHER MEANS. I WILL CANCEL ANY BID BY BUYERS WITH A LOW OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK RATING. PLEASE CONTACT ME SHOULD YOU FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY BEFORE BIDDING, AND PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU'RE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING!!!!! Walk-around video http://youtu.be/LudnzMcRwUo
