Nice condition 1979 Classic step side truck. Deluxe model with all the bells and whistles. Nice unmolested truck with NO body corrosion. Truck has always been in Central California warm / dry climate. Newer paint with updated interior upholstery and carpet on floor. I am the fourth owner of the vehicle and have known every owner since the truck was first purchased new at Hallowell Chevrolet (in Clovis Ca.) The engine was rebuilt in the early 2000's and if you are familiar with the 79 chevys they were notorious for valve guide seals leaking and car would smoke with first started up. Transmission was done at same time. The third owner did all the work on it and in fact he was the person that serviced the truck its entire life. The truck had about 93k when itw as rebuilt and the odometer has 46k when I purchased it in late 2009. It passed smog when I took ownership of it. I never re-registred the truck and it sat in my garage the entire time aside from driving it around our block periodically to keep battery up and fluids flowing. The truck was purchased for my son. He ended up with a newer truck that was willed to him and he does not need two vehicles. Newer AC compressor and lines. New battery,new starter. Power windows, Tilt power steering, power door locks. The bed wood is missing BUT we have all the steel rails and fasteners. A bed kit is $350. We were going to do a full restoration on this truck but its too nice and we need the room for other stuff.
