Up for sale is a 1976 Ferrari 308 GT4 project. I took this vehicle on trade thinking it would be cool to own a Ferrari, but I've had it nearly 2 months & haven't done a thing with it. It needs to go. I don't know much about this vehicle, but there is a wealth of information that can be found by reading the previous owners blog which is found at: grassrootsmotorsports dot com Search Fubaru in the Project Cars section & read away. Please take the time to read that blog, as your questions about this car most likely can be answered there. I don't know much about this car! I've had the car examined by both a mechanic & a body/paint expert & both said "Yes, this project can be completed." They both said it will take time & money, things I don't have. Most of the inquiries about the car have been about selling WITHOUT the engine, so we decided to lower the opening bid & sell with NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION! The engine and transmission will be removed at my expense the first week of OCTOBER. If you want the engine left, you MUST be the high bidder, pay an additional $1200.00 and inform me prior to October 1, 2013. Included with this sale are the door panels, original center console, rear seat (rough, but intact), Ferrari rims & more. The center console has a Blaupunkt Aspen SQR24 stereo cassette, which MAY be original to the car, I'm not sure. I don't know if it works, I've never powered it up, but it is included with the console. The door panels appear to be original & aren't in bad shape either. The Momo seats shown in a few photos aren't included, but I will include a set of racing seats that will need to be upholstered. The rims that are included with this auction are shown in the photos of the Ferrari on the tow dolly. The tires are old, but don't appear to have dry-rot & have tread. Consider them "roller" tires. Please understand that this is a PROJECT car that will need total restoration. The windshield is cracked & the drivers window is missing. There is rust in the engine bay, wheel well areas & basically all over, but it is NOT "rusted out." The candidate for this car is someone with a knowledge of this car & conversions. When doing research on shipping, please remember that car carriers do not like moving cars that don't run & charge more to load. I am not responsible for shipping or transport charges. You can take your time finding the best quote, as the car is in secure storage for $35.00 per month. The winning bidder must pay for the car promptly (48 hours) and pay monthly storage costs beginning October 1, 2013. If you don't have any feedback rating, your bid may be cancelled. 10% of the final sales price will be donated to my local Civil Air Patrol squadron for cadet programs, search and rescue training & aerospace education. This car is for sale locally & I reserve the right to end the listing early. YES, THIS IS A REAL FERRARI. I included a photo of the data plate from 1976 as proof. The passenger door is held closed with tie-wraps. I don't know why, but I assume the latch is broken or incomplete? The exterior handle is present & seems to work properly .
