1984 Jeep CJ7 ..5 speed..inline 6 cyl. engine.. 4 WD.. power steering.. JVC Am/Fm CD detachable face radio ( face is off in the pic ).. within a couple years it has had, new water pump , new thermostat, new tires, new brakes, axle seals, wheel cylinders, new starter, solenoid, new clutch, slave cylinder, flywheel, throw out bearing, pressure plate, pilot bearing,, full tune up plugs wires, cap , rotor, filters ,belts. radiator flush, brake flush, p/s flush, trans flush, differential flush and regular oil , filter and lube... new Best Top convertible with locking soft doors , zip out windows ..new Best Top spare tire cover ( but I like the original one ).. bikini top.. soft indoor cover.... It came originally with a hard top and hard doors which are no longer with it because who needs a hard top in warm ,sunny dry SoCal... This Jeep has been a garage kept Southern California Jeep all of its life as you can see by the original California blue license plate.. It is still licensed and insured in California and has a Calif. title in my sons name.. It was just inspected and smogged in July in Calif. and Calif has the toughest test in the country.. This is my sons Jeep and he bought it years ago from an older man that lived about an hour inland from San Diego.. My son has lived in San Diego for years but is now transferring to South Florida in October so he shipped it to me in N.J. for safe keeping in my garage..It is now in South NJ and will have to be seen and picked up at my home here... It is and has always been garaged.. He thought he would ship it to Florida when he got settled but he has decided to sell it.. I'm retired and back and forth to Florida myself so it will just sit for months at a time in my garage.. He shipped it with a shipper in an enclosed truck about a month ago at a large expense ... He has another car so this Jeep was used very little in the years that he had it.. The details are,, First let me say that I am not a professional mechanic or body work man but I do know something about nice vehicles due to 45 years of driving.. All of which I will describe are either my opinion or what someone has told me.. Please come and inspect it or hire someone to inspect it... I live in Atlantic County N.J. and I'm sure you can find a mechanic in the phone book that will give you his opinion at a reasonable fee... I am not a dealer so its "as is" and once the Title is signed it is your Jeep... . . I just want to make clear that my honesty will always be first in any Ebay or other deal.......... Details of the Jeep are as follows ,,,, Body = 100% California, garage kept Jeep all its life....Never been lifted , in snow or off road, never on beach, in the desert or rock crawled.. "It never rains in Southern Calif " so its always been dry even when driven.. No floor rust or under body rust....Body mounts and everything else under there are original and rust free..Nothing has ever been Por-15'd , diamond platted, or Rhino lined to hide rust, rot, or damage...Nothing has been cleaned up or painted over to make the pictures look better.. It has had 1 repaint of the original color... There is absolutely no over spray on the rubber, chrome or anywhere on this vehicle..No orange peel ..There is no sign of body work... .. I thought it was the original paint until he told me different.....Floors still have the original paint from the factory.. There are a few tiny bubbles ( rust starting ? ) in a couple of the outer body seams but they really are so minor that I'm probably making them sound worse than they are by mentioning them but I'm being perfectly honest.... Paint shines nice.. Other than some wear on the side of the drivers seat , the interior is great.. Carpeting on the floor is good... Dash has never been cut up or damaged other than someone tried to steal the radio at one time and did some paint damage on one side of the radio probably with a screw driver.. Complete Best Top is new and professionally installed.. Glove box locks.. Console locks.. Doors lock.. New B.F. Goodrich 31 X 10.50 X 15 tires... All gauges and lights work.. .................. .Mechanics =There are 190,000 on this vehicle.... Engine starts immediately and idles good.. There is no smoke, unusual noises or overheating .. Clutch is new and it shifts through all gears like butter..Sometimes it goes into 2nd gear better at a lower speed... It doesn't grind but there can be a tight spot that requires a slower shift at high RPM's in second gear...I was told maybe the synchro is going bad in that gear.. All other gears are perfect.. It will drip 1 quarter size drop of oil on my garage floor after its been used and the underside of the drive train shows some wetness of oil.. Maybe a couple gaskets will cure that.... It needs a steering stabilizer shock and probably shocks which I belive to be original........ Brakes are good... Drivers side rear wheel needs a new seal because there is a tiny bit of oil on the inside of the tire... I put it in 4wd and drove it up and down the driveway and felt or heard nothing wrong but my son has never used it and I'm not sure its ever been used.. .Thats about everything I can honestly come up with.. None of this is a costly repair... I hope you can appreciate the detailed description... My son drove this Jeep sparingly on the San Diego highways traveling at full highway speed with no issues what so ever.... This is not a back yard " Harry Homeowner "repaired Jeep... It has always been professionally serviced and it shows.... You see some prices of these CJ's of 20k to 30k ....Maybe they are restored but this is basically pretty much an original CJ and original in my book is more valuable.. I think the buy it now price is deal.... $500. Paypal deposit only... The rest must be in USA cash or wire transfer Only....... Please be serious if bidding and have funds available before you bid....I will delete the auction if I sell it from a different source...... We used a shipper to get it here to NJ that was great and I have his info if needed.........I'll try to answer all questions immediately but some may take a little time due to the time difference between NJ and Calif.......................... .I encourage you to come take a look or send someone to do it for you...
