1997 CAMARO RS T-Top. Clean and Clear Title. Needs work selling as a rebuilder or for parts. I will not separate any parts, wanting to sell whole. The bad: Needs engine replaced.Transmission dipstick needs a rubber gromet for its housing and to be reinstalled properly. Engine leaks water due to what appears to me a crack in bottom of the block and Tranny leaks fluid when adding fluid or running as the dipstick is not secured properly to the transmission. Could use new shock hinges for rear hatch and hood. Needs a few cosmetics like RS ground effects, new dash as current dash has a crack, has no radio, needs new tires, passenger side mirror (plastic is there but glass mirror is not. Could use a paint job as paint is peeling. The good: Body is pretty straight for a 1997. No rust. Has a few dings here and there but definitely not all beat up. All glass is good. Interrior could use a good cleaning but appears in avg-good condition for the year. Car does start and run. ( I would not trust to drive any distance due to engine issues though.) T-Tops in great condition and seem to fit snug to roof. I have always kept it garaged. But I do not believe the T-Tops leak. When I purchased the vehicle I was told the freeze plugs were bad and I planned on an easy fix. Upon my personal inspection of the vehicle the freeze plugs seemed fine. But there was water coming from a crack in the bottom of the block next to the oil pan. I do not believe any water has made its way into the oil. I paid 1000 for the vehicle and was going to fix and use as a daily driver. I have not had the time or the funds to change out the engine as of yet. I am willing to take a loss on this but will not sell this 35th anniversary Camaro for less than $600. If I cant get that out of it I will replace the engine myself and do the needed cosmetic repairs to use as a daily driver or sell for more than my current asking price. Buyer must arrange shipping or pickup. Selling in as is condition no warranties. Vehicle although it does run will need to be towed due to engine condition. Title is clear and my personal property taxes are paid. Would make a great Z28 or SS clone. Or could more easily replace with a 3800 series 2 RWD motor and be using the vehicle in no time.
