Vehicle Detail

EDIT: THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN RECENTLY(A COUPLE WEEKS AGO), NOT IN 2003, MY FATHER NEVER CHANGED THE DATE ON HIS CAMERA. First off the alibi's = 1) This is not a show car. All the effort has been in the driving/performance realm. Someone needs to take it to the next level and add the wide flares, wide wheels and maybe some very minor attention to the interior - everything else is done. There is no rust on the frame, the car is solid as a rock and has always been in a garage when not driven. My guess would be for about 10k in body modification and a good paint job you could have very nice (and nasty) Motion clone - that's what I was trying to do with it. 2) This is not something you are going to commute in, you need to stop off at the gas station on your way to the gas station. 3) This is not something you are going to please the hippies with - truth be told I could care less. 4) Mileage on the car body/frame is an estimate - there are less than 2,500 miles on all the modifications - "everything else". ^^^ Having said all that ^^^ this is just about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. The acceleration is otherworldly, the engine sounds like Armageddon at full song and it is without a doubt an all encompassing visceral experience when you lay into the throttle. This 496 winds up very fast, like a small block, and it shoves every bit of it's torque down your throat the instant you hit the gas. It drives very well and is surprisingly well mannered. The clutch is a tad on the heavy side, about like my 2004 Cobra was but nothing too crazy - again not as bad as you would expect given what lurks under the hood. The engine puts out in excess of 600hp at the crank and there is a direct port N20 kit set at 300hp that, if used, will put you on the other side of 1000hp. The N20 kit was installed when the engine was 'just' a 454ci so if you want to use it, you will need to have it tuned for the larger displacement. Ohter than wiring the window switch, no other work will be needed, the fuel system is already setup for ~1,500hp so just tune it and hope you don't kill yourself. I personally have never used the N20, its such a handful without it I can't imagine dumping another 300hp and at least as much torque on top of what I'm already trying to hold onto. It has a very distinct idle, there is no mistaking that its a very large and very built engine when it's running. If you are still reading you obviously don't care but in the interest of honesty, this Vette started out as a 350/350 auto - BORING. Below is a fairly comprehensive breakdown of what has been installed: 496 CID ENGINE: = $15,000.00 seasoned Hi Performance 4 bolt main 2 piece main seal 454 block bored 0.060 over aligned honed and decked 496CID 4130 chrome moly forged 4.25" stroke crank (total of 496 ci) 4340 Eagle 6.385 H-beam rods.
