Vehicle Detail

This is a very original, rare, and solid Chevy 210 series two door hard top. Out of approx 62,000 + hard tops built in 1953, only 14,000 or so 210 series hard top cars were produced. The rest were Belairs. It only has 92,634actual miles on it. Very solid and straight body car with no signs of rust repair. All original body panels, floor pans, rockers, body mounts, fenders, door bottoms, etc. with no rust or repair work. The underside of this car is very nice. No built up undercoating or surface rust. It is smooth and painted black. Very nice detail job by somebody. See pics. ( the brown spots are just mud splatters from a country road with mud puddles ) The one older re-paint is still very shinny, smooth, and in great shape. Looks to be a single stage urethane enamel job. All of the stainless trim is in great shape. Most of the chrome is very nice original, but I would re-chrome both bumpers and the grille. The grille is in very nice shape but it is painted chrome. You can see from the backside of it that is not rusted out anywhere or filled with bondo. I have both front and rear Chevrolet hood emblems that were removed. Both would need re-chroming and new plastics if put back on. The hood bird is a new high quality reproduction. Have original hood ornament in trunk. Also have like new fender skirts and the original interior sun visors. No exterior sun visor. New tune up items, belt, hoses, battery. Included is original wheels and hubcaps, and a power assist rack and pinion steering set-up for it, including the frame bracket. Suspension is all new including shocks. It was lowered the right way with dropped spindles and rear spacers. ( see pics ) New shocks, exhaust, brakes, Wide White Wall tires, etc. The wheels are rare and "REAL" original E T uni-lug all aluminum wheels. This car sits right, looks right, drives right, and stops right. You can drive it anywhere and get back home. All lights work. All gauges work. Radio and wipers do not work. Seat covers and door panels appear to be all original and still very nice except for some age stains. Headliner and carpeting has been replaced with new. Still has that great old car mohair smell every time you open up a door. Glass is all good and rolls up and down as it should. Even the chrome trim around the door glass is in very good shape. The original 235 engine was completely rebuilt. The 3 speed transmission shifts great. Has a new clutch. Original spare tire still in the trunk. The 53 and 54 Chevrolets are very hot right now. Some say they are next in line to the Tri-Five Chevys in popularity but still very affordable at this time. Get a great and rare one now before the values start climbing up. There seems to be some confusion about what a 235 Chevy engine looks like. To clear it up; The casting number on this engine is 3701887 which stands for a 235 cu in, and the date code is C11-3, which stands for March 11th, 1953. This is the original engine that this car came with from the factory. Hope this helps. NO TRADES This car could very easily put back to totally original condition for the purist. NO TRADES Car runs out really well. Fly in and drive it home. NO TRADES Very Cool hot rod, street rod, low rider, cruiser, rat rod, or gasser All in all, this is one of the nicest rust free cars of this style that I have come across for many years, and when was the last time you seen a 1953 Chevrolet 210 series 2 door hardtop for sale? For those of you over seas; I have sold quite a few cars to guys in Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, etc. so I know how that works. Now for the business end.
