This is a 2001 forester S model that is mechanically very sound. It has 158k miles, and it runs as it should. The transmission was replaced 1 year ago (the rear diff was bad) and all the seals on the trans wore replaced (the biggest job done to this forester). At that time, the clutch kit was installed and the rear main seal for the engine was replaced. The engine has also received extensive service (please see list below). I am comfortable to drive this vehicle anywhere and know that it will not give me problems. The interior is in good condition with some slight wear but average for a 12 year old vehicle. I focused more on the mechanical aspect than the cosmetic that is why you see so much done to it. I also had the car painted over a year ago due that the bumpers wore faded and a fender and door did not match well and know it is all even.Below is a list of what has been done on it:Transmission replaced (including axle seals and rear seal)Clutch kit installed (clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearingThe rear main seal for the engine was replacedBoth front axles replacedBoth front struts replacedalignment done 6 months agoBosch Brakes installed in front and backTiming kit installed (included all rollers, tensioners, water pump, and oil pump)antifreeze replaced (when the timing kit was installed)After market radio with USB and AUX connectionsrear sway bar was replaced for a wrx one (stiffer and stronger)tinted windowsfront bumper has the bumper guard protection (see pics)all season rubber floor matscomes with one remote/keyless entryCold A/C, clean vehicle.....The water pump and oil pump wore upgrade for better water flow and additional oil flow for the engine.Also with a 12 year old vehicle also come some details that it has and I want to let know about them so it will not be a surprisea bulls eye on the windshield the size of ½ a dime or soCheck engine lights comes on at times and it goes off at times. The DTC code is P420 (DTC P0420 - CATALYST SYSTEM EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD) which means that the catalytic converter is acting up or going bad.The sunroof has a hair line cracked (does not leak water) and sometimes it skips (I believe the track/teeth are worn and may need to be replaced)When you open the deck lid, ½ of the trim molding is missing, will try to replace.If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 956-455-8862..
