Vehicle Detail
I have a 1956 Studebaker Power Hawk for sale. I have the title in hand, though it was last registered in 1995. The steel is in pretty good shape, very straight, but it has a few pinholes of rust below the rear windows, and at the base of the front fenders. It is primered black - not much bondo in it from what I could tell, though it was clear it had a few coats of paint on it before I began. It has no engine. The interior needs to be redone, but the seats are in it and I think all the panels are there. There is a little spot in the rear footbox that has rusted through, but the rest of the floor panel is good. The wheels are not stock, but have good tires on them that hold air. The shifter for the 3-speed transmission has been moved from the column to the floor (Hirsch style). The stainless trim is complete and in EXCELLENT condition. It has all the glass in it, however the driver's window is cracked. Someone (not me) cut the hood to put (what I was told was) a Thunderbird scoop in it. I have the lights and most of the miscellaneous parts for it (besides the engine). Ready to roll, and includes lots of parts not pictured, such as headlights, taillights, interior panels, rear view mirror, side mirror, headliner ribs, visors, hood ornament, spare front bumper and mounting bows, etc. This car could easily be restored to very nice condition - drop an engine in it, finish the paint and interior of your preference. It's in good solid shape structurally. It would be cool as a rat rod/gasser project, could be cool lowered for cruising, or restored to original condition. Deposit of $500 due within two days of winning auction - balance to be paid (if not paid in full at auction close) within 7 days. Please make arrangements to pick up the vehicle within 7 days of auction completion. uShip is a reliable and inexpensive way to have vehicles delivered - I highly recommend them. Ask questions if you have them. Sold as-is. It is a project car, and will need to be towed. On Jul-17-13 at 13:45:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional information as of 7/17/13: Just to be clear, there is some rust through on the driver's side of the body. There is a patch behind the door, and some at the bottom of the front fender. The floor has rust through in the rear. Also, there is rust damage at the base of the trunk weather seal - as shown in the picture of the contents of the trunk. I have added some additional photographs to support this.
