Just in time for Suzuki's 50th US Anniversary. Probably one of the oldest and nicest vintage Suzukis in the US. This was the one that started it all. The grandpa of the GXSR and Hayabusa. Purchased in 2009 from 40 year owner (2nd owner). Local bike since new. Only selling to fund another X6 restoration. Original paint and chrome is in beautiful original condition. Received First place in the 2010 AMA Vintage Days Ride Em, Don't Hide Em Show and Second in 2012 AMA Vintage Days static show. Always stored in climate controlled basement garage. Only detailed and tuneup after purchase. Runs and rides as good at it looks. Includes original owners manual (with 4/4/64 date written on cover), parts manual, brochure, tool kit, oil mixing bottle, 1964 road test , original accessory windshield (I think it is a Buco), and brand new set of Cheng Shen vintage tires. All systems work perfectly (including electric start). Only modification was battery box was enlarged in the 70s to accept larger 275 cca battery. Previous owner owned a body shop and was very professionally done and cannot be seen, but gives much better starting than the small original battery (which is no longer available). Seat has some splitting. Cover was removed and repaired from the back. Covers are available, but would not be original. Also has mechanical rear brake, not the troublesome hydraulic brake from earlier models. Clear Ohio title with mileage certified. Titled as a 66. Ohio titled motorcycles in the 60s by the year purchased, not year manufactured. International bidders welcome. Cannot crate, but can deliver to Cleveland Hopkins or Akron Canton Airport for $100. Can also deliver to AMA Vintage Days July 19th or 20th for free. Personal inspection is welcomed and encouraged. Sold as-is. It's 49 years old!
