Vehicle Detail
Hello Folks, I am selling Delilah. Yes, my 1991 Porsche 928S4. She was truely my garage queen until recently. I bought an X5 and I already have a 2011 Mustang GT C/S. I don't have room for Delilah anymore. She needs a new home that will take care of her and keep her garaged as I have. I am the third owner of this gem. I want a true fan of these cars to win. I have put in a lot of sweat and tears into this car to keep her where she is today. I bought Delilah around 7 years ago and I have put just over 40,000 miles. I have changed the timing belt twice. The most recent was 2011. The steering rack and torque tube was changed within the last year. I have all the records on the car. The air conditioner was just serviced and blows cold. The seats are in excellent condition. This just shows you how much I babied the car. The car is ready to be driven to any destination without mechanical concerns. You can email me with further questions. Known Issues: The relay for the toothbelt alarm needs to be replaced (when my mechanic changed the timing belt in 2011, he did not test the relay, so of course it went out). I was not going to change the relay until the next timing belt change in 2015. A sticking front vent actuator. The right front tire is unsually worn and will need to be replaced soon. 2 new floor mats are needed. I have the right to close the auction at anytime as I am selling Delilah locally. On Jul-05-13 at 13:37:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Ladies and Gentlemen. I am currently stated in Chicago and as you know my car is in Texas. I am at the mercy of my friend to help me with the sale. I may not have all the information at my finger tips. However, my mechanic can vouch for this car. You can request his number via email. He is a 928 guy himself. This gentleman asked some great questions. 1. When (mileage - I know it was 2011) was the timing belt last replaced? Was the water pump also replaced? Were the tensioners replaced or rebuilt? The timing belt was replaced. The waterpump was replaced. The tensioners were replaced. My mechanic is maticulous. You can contact my mechanic if needed. 2. Do you have engine compression numbers? I do not have the compression numbers. 3. Does everything work? (Electric windows, mirrors, seats, air conditioning, central locking, ABS) Yes everything works 4. What tires (size and model) are fitted and what is their wear state? I have 19inch wheels on the car. 5. Complete toolkit, towing eye, jack, warning triangle, compressor, spare wheel? Yes. Its all there 6. Any oil or fluid leaks? Not to my knowledge. I can be safe to say no 7. Any dents or or other bodywork blemishes? I had it repainted to due to clear coat pealing. It was my excuse to repaint. all dings gone 8. Any known accident damage? None 9. Any wear or rips to the seats (particularly the driver's bolster)? None 10. Any dash cracks? None 11. Last flex plate tension check it was checked when the torq tube was changed. He had to pull the tranny and he viewed everything and noted no cracks (2011) 12. Do you have the original wheels? The D90s I am not sure. I will have to check if I left them in Las Vegas 13. Any engine bay photos? Yes. I will post on line 14. Any non-standard parts, especially engine, intake and exhaust (I'm in California)? I put a RMB on it and everything else is there. California car 15. Could you be available to see it loaded for shipping? YES The tool kit, spare, and pump is all there. The shocks were changed about 2 - 3 years ago. A new set of Bilsteins. What is that lil shark fin lookin thing on the roof? - is it an antenna? Also, what kind of stereo? - is it a CD player? Satellite Antenna- from previous owner Its an alpine receiver I can tell you I put a ton of money in this car. I am torn and have cried about selling this car. Believe me when I say it's a steal. It is! Ask my mechanics, my friend who is also a 928 guy. He has a 1985 Porsche 928 and was a Rennlister. Please don't bid if you don't got no MONEY. There are truely good people on here that want this car and I don't want this car bogged down by erronious bidders. The car must be paid off before I ship anywhere. The shipping must be prepaid.
