Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is our 1975 Goldwing GL1000. This Goldwing was manufactured in February of 1975 and is the 898th Goldwing to come off the assembly line! She has been carefully restored to her original glory. The bike has just over 23,500 miles on the odometer but the exact actual miles are not verifiable. The bike comes with a good Ohio title. She starts, idles and runs like a champ! She is nearly all original or period correct and retains the original Candy Blue-Green Special paint. A complete frame off restoration was recently completed by a team of “Vintage Goldwing” guys. Her restoration included: New Bridgestone Spitfire tires front and rearComplete rebuild and synch of all 4 carbs using Randakk kit Complete rebuild of front brake calipers and new pads Complete rebuild of Front Master Cylinder All brake lines checked for wear Complete rebuild of the rear caliper and new pads Complete rebuild of the rear Master Cylinder Brakes bled with fresh brake fluid Newer Honda metal-blade water pump Complete rebuild of forks with new seals and fluid Original shocks cleaned and inspected All cables checked and lubed or replaced New tapered steering head bearings Wheel bearings front and rear inspected New points and condenser and timing setNew spark plugs New timing belts New fuel, oil and air filters and all new fluids Thermostat checked 7 volt regulator replaced with NOS New square flasher relay Original working headlamp with working RLU Professionally cleaned and tested radiator Professionally cleaned gas tank and new fuel lines Shaft drive removed, inspected, cleaned and lubed Splines lubed with moly-paste New Battery The bike is complete and all mechanical systems work as they should. (please note that the pictures were taken before the original horn was installed) All four cylinders have compression of over 140 psi and the stator is putting out 15 volts at 3000 rpm. The bike has an original 75 seat with no rips or tears. The panels are in great shape and have all their tabs, no cracks and NO fading (not even the top metal panel!). The chrome is original and shows well. Remember that this is an original 38 year old bike. We have not re-chromed and have tried to keep the patina in tact. This was not a trailer queen but would probably score about 8.3 out of 10. The exhaust is an original 75 and has no rust, holes or weak spots. This bike runs great and is ready to ROLL! The team has done all of the restoration so feel free to ask us anything about the bike. We have documented the entire build. You may call me at 419-340-7013 (Ernie) The bike is located in Columbus Ohio and may be seen there. The team also plans on having it at Vintage Motorcycle Days in Marion, Ohio the weekend of July 19th through the 21st. Shipping this bike is your responsibility, but we would be happy to coordinate with your shipper. Please be advised that the bike is for sale locally and we reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Note: When we received the bike it had already been disassembled. We obtained the bike and extra parts. We received 2 sets of gauges. I have both and can include both. The set on the bike are 76 gauges and were used because they are in super shape. The other set is in good shape but have the usual "cracking" on the faces. No matter which set we used we could not verify actual mileage. I hope this clears up any confusion.
