1957 Ford F-100 Short Fat Pickup Nice, clean and complete F-100. Original six cylinder with a three speed column shift. This truck has obviously never been used very hard. It appears to have been stored indoors for at least much of its' life. The pickup box is very straight and the tailgate is almost perfect. The original interior is in great shape for the age, and the instrument panel is original and unmodified. The truck has the factory Custom Cab option, and every emblem and trim piece is in place. There is typical Ford rust from the period. The front fenders have some filler, the doors have filler along the lower edges and the pickup box has filler over the rear wheelwells. At least this is still a single wall box, so that box repair is a little easier than the newer double walled boxes. The worst rust is in the cab entry steps. The passenger side step has had a decent looking amateur repair, and the driver side step needs a complete replacement. The cab floors look solid although they have had some earlier repairs. The photos show the damage well. The roof seams both front and back have no rust-thru, and are in excellent shape for an early F-100. I have two excellent original used front fenders and two NOS cab step risers that I will include with the sale. This is an excellent resto-mod or street rod project. Or it would make a great original spec restoration. Saturday June 29: I have started the engine today. It runs very well with no noises or smoke. The truck drives and stops well. The mechanical fuel pump is not working and a battery will be required. I used a gas can with clean fuel rather than trying to use the truck fuel tank with the old gasoline in it.
