Bike is mostly original, what I know for a fact is that: mirror, side stand, rubber on intake, rubber on throttle linkage, timing plug, spark plugs, plug caps and seat cover are BRAND NEW. Paint looks too good to be original so I'll say that the bike was most likely repainted in the past. Last owner was a Captain of United Airlines, and he said that he had the motor overhauled in 90s about 5000 miles ago. Bike starts winter/summer with only one kick, no smoke whatsoever. Numbers matching in all 3 places. Please look at photos for missing or incorrect parts. Bad things: left cylinder has a fin chipped, right valve cover has scratched and fin chipped, paint looks really good but has multiple chips and nicks from riding, tires show age micro cracks. Motorcycle comes with clear Illinois title all correct in my name, also I have original tools (incomplete) without the pouch, hand air pump, tank tool box key works, steering column lock doesn't work. I will save everyone the trouble of guessing my reserve and we will start the auction from my lowest number of $8400 and there is no reserve. I have no receipts or other paperwork to prove the overhaul or slinger rings service. Last owner made a verbal statement that "motor was overhauled in early 90s, about 3500 miles ago" and that was it. The rubber seals on valve tubes are brand new, and the whole cylinder must have been removed to change them. Carbs were not cleaned or overhauled recently, bike runs really good so i didnt mess with it. If bike is parked on the sidestand and the fuel valve remains opened the left carb might drip so close the fuel valve if you do so. Oils are about 1000 miles old and need to be changed. Whenever I buy a bike I change the oils to what I now is best so I will leave it to the new owner. I will include the original owners/maintenance manual. It is in 3 languages, one of them English. I have 2 brand new German covers,still in foil with gaskets that I will include with the bike. They were close to 200$ when I bought them. The reason I didn't change them is because I like motorcycles when they are in their original form with as many original parts as possible.
